If you feel like spending a few hours trying to fix the stuttering and lag problems then this game is for you!
Wish I had a fix cause It was enjoyable, I tried everything its just unplayable and my brain hurts.
This game just lacks polish, and I doubt some design choices.
Biggest flaw for me is fighting, it's like third person hack'n'slash or some sort of MMO game. Many opponents run away from us and if we play fighter we need to play catch all the time, while sometimes attacked by multiple enemies from range.
Character development is also very limited. At first It was very promising and when looked at skill tree I thought it's very deep, but firstly we don't have too much skill points to max many skills so we must choose few and most will be level 1. Then we can see we don't benefit much from next skill levels.
I really enjoyed this game for the first ~10 hours, exploration was really rewarding, new set parts etc. But after this, I'm just tired running through loads of enemies who barely give me experience at this moment, and there's barely any loot from them. Sometimes we kill 50 enemies and all we have is 2 potions and some random junk.
Dragon form is really boring after few times, it's clunky and limited to destroying annoying structures and casting auto-aimed skill to flying enemies because they run like crap and you can't aim them with anything else.
It's like playing MMO game but solo, game lack depth and it's boring after very good few hours in the first village.
Divinity 2 is another great Action RPG from Larian, who later went on to develop the Original Sin games and Baldur's Gate 3. The graphics hold up well today, and the story has some excellent writing, with Larian's trademark humour seen throughout. This Developers Cut version has a number of enhancements, and is well worth playing.
