Description
The Galaxy Expands! For the first time since the release of Distant Worlds 2, two new playable factions are joining the game – the peaceful Ikkuro and the devious Dhayut!
The Ikkuro are focused on happiness, growth and harmony. Their self-repairing ships are a mix of technology and biology and they are able to use their understanding of the various galactic biomes as well as unique terraforming facilities to achieve unprecedented levels of habitability.
The Dhayut are master deceivers and paranoid schemers. Their fast ships bring mistrust and slavery wherever they are found as their ability to infiltrate other societies allows them to manipulate other empires in ways that others cannot hope to achieve.
Each of these new factions also comes with their own special storyline and unique story locations, adding to the possible exploration events and to your knowledge of galactic lore.

Special exclusive Leader and Spy traits focused on counter-espionage, slavery and assassination

Their paranoia leads to periodic purges of disloyal members of Dhayut society
It's absolutely not worth it... this DLC should be part of the base game (like it was in the original)...
And the base game is still leaving a lot to be desired... making a DLC when the game is in such state, to add content that should already in the game is simply unacceptable.
I got this game on steam. It's made by people who hate their customers. It's space RTS that has very bizarre game features.
Such as Fleet Suicide: Your fleets will throw themselves at way over powered enemies that they zero chance of beating. This is bad enough, the game will not let call off the attack even if you have the fleet in manual mode. Apparently “Manual Mode” means the fleet will do whatever It wants, when It wants, and you have zero control.
Another feature: One at a time only. You have very little chance of beating an enemy even if you have a fleet 10 times the power of the enemy. Why? You may ask. It's because the game will send in your fleet one ship at a time to be destroyed by 10+ enemy ships. Again you have no control over this.
Another feature: This is part of the Fleet suicide thing. Order a fleet to protect a planet, space station, or anything else, it's not going to happen. Again the fleet will do anything but guard. It will fly off (usually on a suicide run) and attack random enemies that not anywhere close to what it's supposed to be guarding. This is in manual mode, and you have no control over what the fleet does, including trying to call off the attack if you notice it. Believe me I tried.
Diplomacy is nothing more than contact another race, and give them all your money and tech. You will be endlessly prompted to do this. This cannot be turn off.
This game is in no way fun. Unless you like banging your head against a wall in frustration.
To the folks who already reviewed this expressing distaste at the way the developer treats customers, well, I am not suprised. After the debales of the robbery level overpriced Command : Modern Air and Naval Operations, and the treatment I got from both the developers and their army of shills over on Steam, and the way they frauded customers over DLCs for Panzercorps I, I expect nothing but this kind of crookery from this company.
I wouldn't touch any of their products with a ten foot shitty stick.
