This game is special. Do not buy it.

This game is one of the best games of all times, especially in the role playing space. If that sounds at all appealing, you need to play it. Do not buy it, pirate it. The game was stolen from the creatives and that should not be rewarded. And remember, there is no reality in which Lt. Kim Kitsuragi does not dance in that place, at that time.

Absolutely sublime

An absolutely amazing journey through a rich and broken world with genuine, fleshed out characters. The main story of the game is simple enough, solve a murder. The way you can get there though is entirely up to you, with the ability to miss step and do the craziest things along the way. The fully voiced characters and thought cabinet are masterfully done and the soundtrack is absolutely sublime, melacholy and wistful.

Impressive work of art, a real RPG

Probably one of the best RPG experiences at the moment. It's very real in a classic, Pen&Paper kind of sense: deep conversations, your decisions matter and change the game, it's got no battle system. All that matters is the roleplay, the conversations, the acting. The artstyle is nice, the world and characters well developed. Really impressive as a starting title for this fairly new developer. (Aren't they new?) Cons: - got me confused many times, you are literally talking to your senses a lot and they are all basically different people seeking your attention, but they use the same voice actor. Its not easy to follow all the time. - the game feels so deep that it can be overwhelming and exhausting. You need the right moment to slip into this world. - you need to read a lot. Yes, I am talking about Planescape Torment level kind of reading. It requires your attention. Anyway, I would support the developers for any new project. I love this game!

Best game I ever bought on GOG

The writing of the game is amazing, the artwork is top-notch, the voice acting superb. This is a masterpiece! I rarely finish games, what with the variety that is out there, but this is one that I have played end-to-end. Do yourself a favor and buy it!

Every truly diamond RPG has it's crack

The good things. It is written really well, music and art are both great. Probably the best feature is the skill system. Do not let artsy minatures and fanciful names fool you, it is all about how it works. Skills are taking place in almost every conversation as internal voices, selecting different skills not only affecting what character can do, but also what he notices and what he thinks. There is a quite a lot of possibilites to roleplay. The area available to explore isn't super vast, but is really packed with content. The ok things There is Thought Cabinet but it is really a glorified perk system, good perk system, but nearly as good as skill system. Thoughts need skill point to research (and to forget) as well as in game time. During research in most cases they give maluses, afterwards bonuses or both. They are usually available after certain behaviours in dialogue. This system would be ok, but it feels not really well balanced. For example some very hard to get thoughts are completely normal, some are just not worth it. Also they modify dialogue rather rarely. The bad things The ending. At certain point we are informed that something bad is going to happen soon. What triggers this event is thing that has absolutely no logical connection, not time. What is worse we are not informed about consequences, such as locking areas and quests. Ending is quite linear, entire game to be honest is, but side quests keep the illusion of choice. We don't really know if our actions had any influence on the world. There is sense to play again to see the perspective of different skills, but there are no great, game changing choices to be made. Ideologies: this is a well written game, but when ideology comes up it is usually a joke, totally over the top, explainable by characters psychology or obvious critique. There is no idealogy that can be taken at face value (such as Ceasar's speech in F:NV) and judged by the player seriously.
