Nonsense
I didn't get most of what was happening and died by retirement right in the beginning.

I don't know what I am playing
I don't know what I am playing. I guess there are so many games out there nowadays, that they try really hard to create something different. Not always succeeding. IMHO, this is an example. The game is full of charisma but the game play is totally messed up and a total drag. Everything is slow, to represent your state of mind but gosh... This is too much. I get depressed by just playing the game. Is not funny nor entertaining. The narrating voice is nice but just too long-winded and not really engrossing after a while. The rolling mechanic, again, seems too random. You have this kind of one roll that you have chance to fail quite regularly from beginning towards the end. The character creation is not really intuitive on how it works. Overall, very stylish but I am not sure I can recommedn it.

Really nicely done, but not very long???
It's a really nice RPG/point & click adventure game. There's great world building with lots of backstory and such that makes Revachol seem like a real place with real history. The story seems straightforward enough, but I soon found myself involved in surreal side-investigations. I'm not sure what I did wrong (based on other reviews) but I finished the game in 12 hours (game-time) including a few side investigations (church, cryptoid thing, curse, body on boardwalk). I wasn't trying to rush or blitz through it, and actually restarted once because I thought I had rushed something and wanted to do it properly. There were things left undone and I meant to go back and do them but somehow the story ended (I met up with the other detectives, they explained what was going on, then credits and then back to the main menu). Most other reviews suggest 20-30 hours, and I'm no "hardcore gamer" so I'm inclined to think I screwed up somewhere, but equally the game let me screw up... That said, there's clearly some re-play value as I failed a few checks due to not having (and not being able to have) enough points for certain skills due to my character archetype, but I'm not sure the story is interesting enough (now I know what happens) to re-do it right away.

Became Too Attached
Great game, great art style and now with more voice acting! I had to quit though because I became too attached to the protagonist: halfway through the game I realized that he was a tragic hero, destined to die and that made me way too sad.

No Truce with the Furies
This game is the best computer RPG yet. It sets a new standard the way that Planescape: Torment and Baldurs Gate 2 did before it. It's innovative and original but it also gets the basics about mechanics and player agency right. And the writing is excellent. There is no "combat" in the usual sence but there are some very tense moments that feel very real. I won't tell you everything about it, because I think that might spoil the experience. It's very good, and I think everyone that likes RPGs should play it. I hope the devs get all the appreciation they deserve and that the game sells well enough for them to get the freedom to do another game the way they want to do it. I think you guys did something truly exceptional with this and I hope you feel pride in that.
