Great game
Thank you GOG for putting this game in your store. I'll buy it as soon as I can. I've played it for hours long time ago, an amazing game, totally recommended.

Originally developed by Synergistic Software and released in 1997, Hellfire was not an official Blizzard product and did not carry Blizzard’s endorsement or label. Despite that, in response to Diablo players who have expressed a desire to experience the content, Blizzard has given the OK for it to be included as a free add-on with Diablo purchases on GOG.COM.
Hellfire offers a non-canonical single-player storyline where players must defeat a powerful demon named Na-Krul who is threatening Tristram. The expansion also adds a Monk class, new weapons and items, new missions, locations, dungeons, and enemies. Hellfire will be accessible while launching the original Diablo.
Battle.net® multiplayer requires you to configure the Router and Firewall Ports, details can be found here.

System requirements (w/o wrapper)
These are/were the system requirements of the actual game. This is interesting if you wish to unpack it from the wrapper that makes it run on 64bit systems and play it on vintage hardware :) Windows 95 60 MHz Pentium 8 MB RAM (16 MB for multiplayer) SVGA-compatible graphics card 2X CD-ROM drive

No high resolution
Sad to say but game totally ignoring settings from launcher. Even versions with "high resolution support". Game is running in lowest possible and there is no way to change it in game.

Certified Hood Classic
The game has aged like milk in an oven. But it's one of those games you need to experience atleast once in your life.

I'm torn
On one hand, it's a classic game that spawned a truly iconic franchise. On the other, its first sequel and many of its clones frankly do its thing better in all ways (while D3 is a somewhat different game altogether); I think the only thing I actually miss from D1 when playing D2 is playing a warrior and still being able to learn spells. On one hand, it was a downright mesmerizing experience back in the day, but on the other it's neither the best of its kind, nor actually the first of its kind, either - it was just the most accessible and best presented example of its kind back in its day. Which is nothing to sneeze at, to be clear, but that kind of distinction usually ages badly, and I feel like it's probably the case here. And finally, on one hand, it's great to finally have it available in digital format... but on the other, it doesn't come with the expansion, and you can get physical copies of both for less money than this. All in all, I honestly want to give this release both two AND four stars, and feel that averaging it out to three doesn't really convey my feelings...
