I still love it!
It has aged, but I will play it multiple times now until it no longer runs again or I expire! Hellfire please!

Go back to the storeOriginally developed by Synergistic Software and released in 1997, Hellfire was not an official Blizzard product and did not carry Blizzard’s endorsement or label. Despite that, in response to Diablo players who have expressed a desire to experience the content, Blizzard has given the OK for it to be included as a free add-on with Diablo purchases on GOG.COM.
Hellfire offers a non-canonical single-player storyline where players must defeat a powerful demon named Na-Krul who is threatening Tristram. The expansion also adds a Monk class, new weapons and items, new missions, locations, dungeons, and enemies. Hellfire will be accessible while launching the original Diablo.
Battle.net® multiplayer requires you to configure the Router and Firewall Ports, details can be found here.

Feels like back in those days ...
Maybe outdated, maybe clunky, but fun for sure. I used to play this for several runs. The Butcher as first quest still scares the hell out of me - remembering our very first meeting when ... well I got butchered. ;) It is not only generic, keep in mind, that it was the FIRST generic game in sense of generating level maps. Now I can play as a sorcerer what I never did, now I remember why. I went in the dungeon, survived some monsters, hit a barrel - which exploded - and I was dead. 10/10 will hit barrels with my rod again!

My favorite out of the trilogy.
I've been waiting for decades for this game to receive a minor facelift. My old original Diablo CD rom from the 90's stop working several years ago. I am happy that this new release of Diablo 1 contains the vintage battle net client and original graphics. Diablo 1 is still my favorite out of the current trilogy. Diablo 1 is simple and challenging. Players patiently work and build their characters as they slowly explore the depths of the underworld. Simple game logic as players start in town (at top) and work to the bottom to defeat Diablo. No confusing acts to follow as in the other Diablo games. Teens and pc gamers from the 90's will not regret purchasing this gem. It is nice to see a older generation playing on vintage battle net reliving excitement of Diablo 1. I highly recommend Diablo 1 to any vintage gamer.

Classic
Absolutely classic game. Intrigued to see it finally come here instead of being held captive by Activision-Blizzard. Price might be a little high for its relative value today. I think $5 would be more fair, but regardless this is not a game you would probably regret buying if you like this genre. However... does it run on phones?
