Interesting Story, but crashes.

Started the story, CTDs soon enough at the helicopter ambush with DX-12 on & 4xMSAA. So I switched to DX-11 & MSAA off, lagged into oblivion, landing jump near helicopter, did not have counter on but possibly 10-15FPS. Volumetric Lighting detail always off, so sandstorm & steam were not the issue. Later down the game, DX-11 presented an MDM.EXE error. Switched back to DX-12, it is visibly much faster and not laggy at all, got MDM.EXE error again, when I got to the TF-29 HQ. Many of the fancy graphics are OFF not low (as I hate some of them like motion blur & depth of field). I don't know what else to do, the autosaves on the game are not on timer but checkpoint. Another bad console ported game to PC. I don't use mods, this is a clean install & clean run, no launcher.

NOW IT'S FULL DRM FREE 09/05/20

At the time of this review, May 9th, the game is DRM Free, the problems with the Season Pass has been fixed, YOU HAVE FULL ACCESS TO THE DLC CONTENT WITHOUT ONLINE REQUIREMENTS, I try to edit my review in the Deluxe Edition but I couldn't. I tested the game in 3 of my computers, one with a 1080Ti, one with a 1050Ti and the last one with a RX 570, I don't experience any stuttering or crashing in the game using DX11, but I have quite a few with DX12, so 11 is my recomendation. Game Review: The game takes part in Praga, 2 years after Human Revolution, Adam Jensen is part of the TF29, an elite squad of the Interpol. As a direct consequences of the event of Human Revolution, the world experience a hate to augmented citizens and the fear of a new attack create an apartheid between normal people and augmented ones. The game have several options to resolve the missions, a history well told, and some likeable characters, with an stunishing graphics and art direction, that recreate a Praga that evolve and change with the players action. It's true to say that is not as good as Human Revolution, but is and great game, a very fun one, that I totally recomend for every player.

Simply a great immersive sim

This is the 4th main entry in the Deus Ex series, developed by Eidos Montreal, also responsible for the excellent Human Revolution, previous game in the series. (I hope it's released here one day) The main plot of the game may seem thin, and I think you could almost resume it on a postcard if you write small. But you would be missing 97% of the game. The universe is rich and very well depicted : from dialogues you hear-pick between NPCs, e-mails you find by remorselessly hacking into peoples computers, to ads on the streets that play without shame on people's fear of augmented. There is great storytelling on all counts. New players can be a bit lost though: some plot points can be dark if you haven't read the novels (Icarus Effect & Black Light). There are also a lot of side quests, and none is poorly written. Some are waiting for you just beside the main quest but others will require you to explore the area if you want to find them. They all feature interesting characters, and immersive dialogue. In fact, dialogues are a important part of the game, and I found them very interesting. I played with English voices and French subtitles, and there were a couple of times where they didn't match, although both made sense. Curious :) As for gameplay, it's your choice. Go stealthy, hack your way through or just kill everyone. I played stealthy and I loved it, but either way, I advise you to take a moment to explore the environment. You'd be amazed at how many possible paths there are. And at how much stuff is lying around ; you can fell that characters live here (and rarely tidy their rooms). I spent hours exploring every nook and cranny (I loved it). The skill tree is not huge but there are some interesting new augmentations. A quick word about graphics : they favoured art direction over photorealism: an excellent choice I think. If you liked Thief, Bioshock and Dishonored you will surely like this. You can see it as a cyberpunk Dishonored with a lot more dialogue.
