Games of the Deus Ex series are always a grand experience in terms of storytelling and gameplay mechanics.
This particular iteration has better mechanics and a weaker story compared to human revolution. I had a lot of fun playing it, but the story was not as engaging.
A game bridging the era of this game with the background of the first Deus Ex game is still needed, pity it has not happened all these years.
This game is not as good as Human Revolution, but it is still a good Deus Ex game and a very good FPS. I played it on the hardest difficulty available for a new game and it is way to easy. You get a lot of weapons very quick and a lot of praxis'.
The level design is not as interesting as Human Revolution, but still okay. I found myself skipping through dialogue because very early on, you know who's who and where story is going. You have very little influence on the actual outcome of the game and the game doesn't feel as open as Human Revolution. Still, the story is there and it is in no way boring. The voice acting is some of the best, especially Jensen and Miller. The game mechanics is also very impressive and ahead of it's time (you see the stuff that they did in Mankind Divided in games releasing now and the last 1-2 years). Feels like they spend time on game mechanics and impressive features and perhaps neglected the story a bit.
Mankind Divided does what you except from a sequel and nothing less or nothing more. It is a good game and highly recommended. It easily beats other FPS from the same time and current FPS.
Compared with the third part, the design of the ontology level is obviously lower, but it is better to tell a very interesting story and lead to the beginning of the next story at the end of the game.
Highlight the third "prison" dlc level of the game, which can let you have a refreshing sneak experience beyond the content of the game itself!
The total game flow is about 35 hours (including dlc)
i have become a huge fan of the series after playing this game, the story is interesting and how the conspiracy unfolds, watching it all come together is quite fun. adam jensen is a solid character. all the augmentations and the gameplay design makes it fun to play. the game looks beautiful with its different locations, you are working out of prague, the map may be small but dont let that fool you, the city is jam packed with different missions, hidden details and easter eggs. this is one of the best experiences i've had in a long time. i really hope they make a sequel to this game.
Best stealth shooter slash RPG that I have played and I recommend it to anyone to play it, even if just for the story. With actual consequences for decisions, great story and tons of exploration and thousands of secrets. Always multiple ways to reach your goals, sometimes so well hidden. Such a great game!
