Desperados III Demo

Good to see an old favorite getting a new chance. The gameplay is smooth, easy to learn, but it gets complex - as you'd expect from the puzzle stealth genre. It brings back memories. It feels like it was targeted for a slightly younger audience than the grittier 1st game, but I can easily overlook that. The story seems OK, nothing to write home about for now. The stealth needs a bit more options than just a few doors and tall grass. All in all, I can't wait for the full release. I absolutely love the fact that there's a demo for the game. Not many studios do this anymore, and it warms my heart to see it have a comeback. I'd support the devs just for that.

Demos a such a nice thing - they show developers confidence in their game, and it allows players to see how the game plays and run first hand, before dishing out cash. Shadow Tactics was an excellent revival of the Real-Time Tactical genre, and Desperados3 looks like a great follow up, and a promising successor to original Desperados. I am sold and can't wait for the release!

As a huge fan of the genre I allowed myself to really get my hopes up when i saw these devs had got hold of Desperados. I have to say, i wasn't dissapointed. The characters and dialogue are fun and close to going over the top, but never quite do, which keeps you enjoying it the whole way through. I can't remember the last time I preordered a game, (it was probably around the time the industry gave up on playable demos) but i was happy to preorder this. Great respect for the devs and their work. I loved the first game but skipped the second after not liking the playable demo. So it feels great to finally get back to this franchise again. Can't wait for June 16th.

Last great game in this genre was Shadow Tactics. The atmosphere, voice acting all top notch. Units and commands seem responsive. Can't wait to play more!

Liked the original Dersperados games, but this is just better. The responsiveness is so much better now. The Showdown mechanic is a nice add-on. This game and Shadow Tactics is having me wishing for proper remasters of the old Commandos games. The levels are great for honing your skills. I felt challenged at almost all times, but rarely faced with a problem I found impossible. And the few times I had that feeling the smooth save system gave me the confidence to play around and find the solution. This and Shadow Tactics a modern classics in the genre. Now I just want more.
