..... so what can I add? - I agree with the "dark comic book" style graphics looking rather cool, if a little monochrome, animations are rather comic book too, ie static, not really animated much - sounds / music are basic but do the job - gameplay is simplistic, start off at a base, build a squad, buy equipment, go out an explore nearby ship wrecks for loot, go back to base when "energy" runs low ("energy" just limits your time allowed out on expeditions) and sell loot, heal squal, go back out to do more of said wreck or go to another wreck. Exploration mechanics and the shipwreck map are simply AWFUL, combat mechanics is just basic "card play" and there are not many "cards" to choose from - devs need to do a lot more work filling this one out before it becomes really worth buying So, it's a rather "average" game at the moment, but hopefully could improve later. Yet another good example showing how GOG is infested with hard to believe 5 star hyperbole reviews, that also seem to get dozens of positive votes for some reason. GOG should remove that vote system like they did on the discussion boards, oddly that's not a popular opinion, I recently suggested it and got some of the worst abuse I have ever seen in any forum yet!

I enjoyed the game overall. It's simplistic, but has nice music and atmosphere. Similar to DD, but not as hard and much more playable. Item managment can be tough, but that does not spoil the game. The only strange issue I have is with the expansion - "new prospects". Except for some additional items and new warrior class, there is really no new maps, no fresh storyline etc. It's the same game, essentially. However, in the trailer it's advertized as having all that. Which is not true. I don't understand why GOG does not see that and allows palyers to be deceived?

Tried this, and at first I was mesmerized - illustrative parts of visuals are fabulous, reminds me of great works of Rosinski or Andreas. Technical graphics and interface are fine, not great, but a good supplement. Sound is fine as well. Gameplay looks interesting...at first. But it quickly turns shallow and simple - and it would be ok, provided had it had more dynamics. For a simple one - it`s too slow and repetitive. Main "quest" is very basic, it`s just a grindfest through bigger and bigger ships. Very generic. The game quickly loses its charm and feels more like a chore.

Deep Sky Derelicts combines card based combat with a Diablo-style loot system into a simple yet incredible addictive experience. The classes, weapons, tools and upgrades you get allow endless combinations to try out and multiple valid strategies to pursue. Other than the combat the game feels rather rudimentary, though. This goes from the minimalist audio-visual presentation to the humorous but ultimately lacklustre story. That's acceptable for a small game from a small team, as long as the core gameplay is great - which is the case! What really annoyed me, however, was the lack of documentation (there is a small encyclopedia of ingame terms but it is incomplete) and inconsistent, ambiguous or sometimes plain wrong tooltips on cards (applies to the German version). If you have such a nuanced, intricate system in place, the rules have to be crystal clear at any point of time. Also, the difficulty drops flat on its face towards endgame as you team will likely become all but invincible towards that point. At least if you follow basic deck building strategies (i.e stack the cards that you benefit the most from and choose equipment accordingly). I mean it's fun to watch an enemy crit you for literally 0 damage but only for so long. That being said, I'd still recommend Deep Sky Derelicts to anyone who likes deck building and tinkering with character stats.

If is on a deal is nice. I dont regret playng this game. Balance is very bad. Some skills like Sabotage are op and work on final boss. Others like stun sux - dont work on bosses. Bosses have hidden passive that sux - self clean debuff, that dont take action. I recommend build : Leader-psyker + Scavenger with Functionnaire spec + Tracker-Quattermaster.
