Quite creepy, quite good !
Hi, after finally completing the game I have decided to write a small review about it. Set in space, your crew of 3 Mercs is tasked with finding a Mothership - the game depicts this very journey, where you train your guys/gals, amass loot, tweek your build and overcome adversity. It is a turn-based strategy combat game using decks of card mechanic per each character (same for enemies), requires some degree of strategic thinking (mostly to break the game). Is it difficult? Maybe, especially in the beginning, when you have no idea, how the mechanics work - when you learn them - and subsequently bend them to your whims - it gets much easier. There is a nice in-game Codex explaining the mechanics, status effects etc. The music and the whole setting really charmed me - in a creepily possitive way - abbandoned derelicts floating in space filled with slumbering horrors - Space Hulk, W40K (some aspects) come to mind - certainly not for everybody. Graphics are nice (even my potato ran it) and compliment the overall decaying vibes the plot is set in. The plot itself is very simple, and enjoyable. There is certainly some degree of replayability - procedural generation of loot, encounters and IIRC the derelicts themselves, to a certain degree even the final fight can be altered. I for my self can say, I had fun the whole time - not only at the finale. When you reach lvl cap, there is still equipment to tweek, so as to be competitive in an evermore dangerous environment. I was reaaaaally slow with the game, went through almost everything, an clocked 30 H at the end. No real need to look up anything out-of-game - only if you absolutelly want to break the game (char build-wise). Everything can be overcome with experimentation. TL:DL - go buy it - good value for your money :) Cheers
