Description
Days Gone is an open-world action-adventure game set in a harsh wilderness two years after a devastating global pandemic.
Step into the dirt flecked shoes of former outlaw biker Deacon St. John, a bounty hunter trying to find a reason to live in a land surrounded by death. Scavenge through abandoned settlements for equipment to craft valuable items and weapons, or take your chances with other survivors trying to eke out a living through fair trade… or more violent means.

You can switch to the Original 1.07 Patch via GOG Galaxy (Manage Installation > Configure > Beta Channels) or by downloading offline installers from your library. Please back up your save files before switching versions and please note that reverting to Patch 1.07 will disable features introduced in later updates and will prevent access to the Broken Road DLC. There will be no official support for players swapping between the branches. You can revert to the newest version at any time.

Standing out from the ravenous zombie genre, Days Gone brings a lot of heart and massive open-world freaker hordes. It's ambitious in the length of its campaign and the size of its map, but some things just don't work as they should.

Awesome
A few years ago when I saw gameplay footage, I was like "meh". I bought it because it was discounted and I liked the reviews here. I have really enjoyed this game. The characters, story, missions, the music, cinematogeaphy, and naturally the gameplay as well. Yes, you need to be sneaky in the beginning, but you grow stronger, understand how to approach the different zombie types, and you get better gear. So no, I don't agree that this is a stealth game. The latter part of the game is action pure. My god, the intensity of fighting hordes, it's amazing and not as simple as one might think. You can be rambo your wat out if you are skilled or strategize to reduce their numbers before killing them off. To be honest, in retrospect the price of 50 bucks may be justified, I didn't even touch the challenges yet. This game felt a bit like a movie as well, captures the atmosphere perfectly. At times fun, at times grim abd savage. I'd say go for it!

NOW it's Amazing...!!!
It was far too ambitious when it first came out and the reviewers rightly attacked it, but NOW we all have PC's that can finally run the game on the highest settings - a little hot and laud - you can enjoy one of the most engaging and fun games ever. I don't need to go into details because others have already reviewed it thoroughly, all I'll say is that it will join that short list of games that we all have to ban ourselves from playing again and again so we can get through our backlog of other games. Get it on sale and if your computer can handle it, have one of the most engaging gameplays ever. P.S I must say one word of negativity though! It has a super woke "Couple" in the game that will upset u, but if you can ignore them then you'll be fine.

Ruined by terrible updates
Days Gone 1.07 was a dream on PC. Now, the lowest-bidder live-service developers at Bend Studio have "updated" the game to version 1.13, and it is garbage. Again, these are not the developers who made Days Gone that are tinkering with it now. These are loser devs that Jim Ryan hired to make live-service games, and now they're messing up a classic title that we bought years ago. And where is GOG in all this? That is a great question.
