Great Prequel

This game was made by an indie studio in rome italy with a team a whopping size of 15 members, this is a massive step up in quality compared to Daymare 1998. I am 2 hours into it and the look and feel of the game is great like a smaller budget resident evil style game. If you were going to give a AAA company $90 AUD for a new release that would no doubt turn out to be a steaming pile of hot garbage on PC like basically every game has been in 2023, consider giving $45 AUD to help this studio grow and create another great horror game instead. and in return you get perfect running bug free game for about 8-10 hours of gameplay.

Solid Prequel

I have not finished the game yet, about 4 hours in. I like the mechanics so far, the ice ability is super cool (pun intended)! I have a soft spot for Resident Evil so this game plays similar to it, and I get some Dead Space and Control vibes from it. Puzzles aren't too bad but you gotta put your thinking cap on lol. Graphics are great as well for those that care. Nice job on this one, I recommend!

A great title

Preface: I never really played the first game, but do own it and intend on playing it in the near future. This game looks amazing, it plays excellently and runs smooth, Some of the environments are really unnerving, espially if you are short on ammo, it genuinely makes you feel helpless. The story is fine, I didn't really care about the characters or what happened to them, but the environments and game play are more than enough to carry the game. Quirks and Jank: Yes, there are quirks and some jank, it is a small studio so it is to be expected. The game has visuals that can compete with any AAA game, it is this reason why I think the jank stands out more. All in all, nowhere near enough to tarnish this fine game.
