Description
In 2455 A.D. , Kage Hishima used the magical powers of the Daikatana, the most powerful sword ever forged, to alter time and establish himself as supreme ruler. You are Hiro Miyamoto, one of the few people on Earth who remembers what really happened. The burden of saving the world, your version of it, has fallen unto your shoulders. Recommended by Kilg0re, Stream Team: Daikatana is an underrated game in my opinion, that has an undeserved reputation for being a "bad" game. Though it certainly has it's janky issues, and there were many issues on release, there is a lot of fun to be had here. IMO, once you get past the drab, grindy opening episode (which is the one most people played in the shareware demo), the game really opens up in terms of graphics and level design. The John Romero approved community patch makes it much more playable on modern PCs, and I think even if it's not a bona fide masterpiece, when all is said and done, it's an ambitious fun experience.

setting the bar for duke nukem forever
game sucks, but that doesn't mean it should go away. play it, know it, enjoy it for the history of the industry.. but don't go thinking it'll change your life for the better. daikatana is in a legendary game for all the wrong reasons. if you did yourself a favor and didn't buy it the day it came out the moment Babbage's opened, do yourself another favor and part with a few bucks to add it's great badness to your collection.

Shockingly bad.
Movement is slippery, guns do more damage to yourself than your enemies and ugly graphics combine to make this deserving of it's reputation. The first episode is the worst, with the rest just being average at best. Not even worth it on a sale.

Worst FPS ever made.
Why was this done? I remember waiting and waiting for this game to come out and when it did, it was the biggest gaming letdown of my life. Why anyone would want to play it today is beyond me.
