Awesome old rpg

If you enjoy games like Darklands give Daemonsgate a try, It's got some nice complexity and massive world to explore, I'm not far into the game yet but I like what Ive seen so far and I'm glad Gog got this classic here, the manual is fun to read and the maps looks neat. Ive read two paragraphs of a walkthrough online to get some direction because I was lost but I should be good on my own now

slow, sluggish, unintuitive

Yikes! everything takes about 3 seconds to change screens. You have to hunt for the magic pixel when clicking on buttons. The entire system is unintuitive and senseless. For a game that came out in 1993, there were enough general RPG conventions in place that commads and layout shouldn't be so cryptic.
