Due to all the launch issues, I waited for a sale and ended up buying the Ultimate Edition (which includes the Phantom Liberty DLC). I then started the game (using a controller) and after probably about 30 hours I came across the DLC quite organically. I then got hooked in and have to say, Phantom Liberty is one of the best narrrative experiences I've ever had in a video game. It's miles better than the main game's story and it just goes on and on. Now that the DLC is finished, I have no desire to go back and explore the alternate endings (to the DLC) because the one I chose was just such an amazing experience. Anyway, I highly recommend picking this up if you are into RPGs and FPSs. It's a great blend of the two.
I'm so glad I have waited this long to play this game. Man, the story hit me right in the feels, and the gameplay was really fun too. The storytelling is great too.
My only problem was that your choices don't really impact the story that much. I wish the game's story could change drastically depending on what choices you make during the game, including side quests.
The music in this game is godtier. So many bangers here.
This game is definitely worth a playthrough, even a couple at least. But this is doing a disservice to the game. It's frankly so amazing that it's definitely in my top 10 games I've ever played at minimum.
A story that drags you in immediately and keeps you gripped the whole way through, addictive gameplay, insanely moddable. Everything you'd want in a sci-fi adventure.
I first got this game when it was released on pre-order.
It ran smooth, was visually engaging and the bugs I ran into (which did not disable my game in any way) were patched quickly.
The only reason I give this 4 stars is because CDPR promised co-op.
Cyberpunk is a tabletop game meant to be shared with friends. I purchased the game believing this would be a feature added later, as promised. This has not happened.
Beyond that, it's a great buy.
I played the game on an Strix G15 gaming laptop(Ryzen 6900HX,RTX 3070 TI,16 GB Ram). The game runs well in 1080p at ultra + DLSS on balanced and the framerates are betwen 90 - 60 depending on the area. There are still ocasional bugs with people floating in the air, or you can't acces the phone, the quest marker disappear from the map, but they are not game breaking bugs and a reload of the game solve it. I had 3 crash to desktop on my 160 hours of gameplay after using Win+Tab key to minimize the game. The game is graphically breathtaking from time to time and Night City is a beautiful place in day-time or night-time. I'm a sucker for cyberpunk content and i really loved the game as a presentation. The game it's not really an RPG it's more like a ARPG combined with looter shooter kind of stuffs. The story is interesting enough and has a some plot twists on the way and was really enjoyable. Some of the side quests were interesting and have a nice story to them. The gigs and NCPD jobs were not that great, kind of repetitive actions and fetch kind quests (kill the bad guys, or go silent, solve the objective and get out and get your reward). You can build your character as you want but there are three main playstyles ( using guns - smart, tech or power , using meele blunt weapons or katanas , use hacking ). You can combine all this styles to create your caracther. My V was a nomad, berserk + gorilla arms+Johnny Malorian+Order+Rasetsu or Breaktrough).I don't like the hacking skills, or the smart weapons and even if i tried to use them i returned at punch people in the face or slash them with a katana. the game feels more fun and more personal that way. I recommend to play the game on Very Hard even if at the begging it's a little more difficult, but after you aquire the right cyberware for your build the game beacomes very easy. I didn't die once during my gameplay but i play hardcore games in general. For me the game and DLC was 10/10 and i hope there will be a sequel soon.
