Not what I had hoped for

Ultimately there is.... ...no good outcome for anyone. V can save their life, but at the cost of becoming a nobody, who will never have meaningful chrome again. You betrayed someone who would have rather died than be a weapon for NUSA again, you killed Johnny and all your friends have moved on or are about to. And you sold out to the FIA, where you are surrounded by burned out husks like Reed, while serving power hungry madmen. The best part about the expansion is that the new ending brings us full circle to Dex's prologue question "A long life as nobody or go out in a blaze of glory". Now that the "long life" option is available, you can make a meaningful choice and are no longer forced into the "Death in 6 months" endings. And suddenly you realize that survival at any cost might just not be worth it, cause the writers believe that Cyberpunk stories must always end badly. There are so many missed opportunities. Sending Songbird to the moon should either have tied into the Arasaka ending or the Crystal Palace ending, where V also goes into space. Would it have been so hard to have a fixed Songbird come back and help you in these endings, by slowing V's cancer, so that we maybe get 10 years instead of 6 months? Or have her return during the Mikoshi scene, after she got better on the moon, and have her help Alt in curing us? Or suddenly have her voice on comms when you are approaching Crystal Palace:"V, it's Songbird. Thank you for everything, now it's my turn to help you. We will do this together". Is it really too much to ask for one happy ending, in a game that has so many downers? Why even have multiple endings, when every ending is depressing? I will not buy any future CDPR games, as long as this writing team is in charge of their games. Had these people written Witcher 3 it would have ended with Ciri dead and Geralt overdosing on potions 6 months later. I play games to have fun and enjoy myself and not to become depressed.

Devs, stop falling into this trap.

An interesting story and characters hamstrung by falling into the classic trap of devs deciding that all the fun toys you've gotten used to in the core game are not the way they want you to play their new content. Wanna sneak by those cams with optical camo and the Kiroshis specifically made to nerf cams? Well no, that's not the way we intended for you to get by this so it just flat out doesn't work. You want to dash over the trap door we've set for you? Unless you disarmed it like we wanted you to, you're locked in place while it dumps you. Want to use Sandevistan or Kerenzikov in vehicle contracts? You're not allowed. I'm still grinding my way through it and finding things to appreciate, but I don't know if I would be if it weren't for the main game outside of it.

CD project lost it

OK, I'm not done yet with the DLC, but I want to write this review fast so others can avoid my mistake. I'm maybe 2 hours in the DLC and I'm so disapointed. PROS * Looks good * New playground is always welcomed. BAD * So linear (at least this begining) I mean, it is literraly a glorified corridor. * Scripted from head to toes (it's like a bad COD single player experience. As much scripted but worse shooting) * Full of stupid decisions breaking the immersion (i.e. You are supposed to escort the president...that can't die...so actually you don't care about her) * Where are my RPG choices? Where is my feeling of immersion?

Must Watch Twitch Streamers to 100% Game

Apparently you have to watch Twitch streamers to unlock all equipment in this game. WTF?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why does CDPR leadership keep making such bad decisions? This isn't a pre-order bonus, it's forced labor! ____________________________________________________________________________ There are five Twitch drops to be earned from the Phantom Liberty launch campaign for Cyberpunk 2077. The three cosmetic items can be earned by watching any Cyberpunk 2077 content on Twitch, while the fourth “custom drop” cosmetic item is earned by watching one of the select channels participating in the “custom drop campaign.” NUS Infiltrator Pants: Watch one hour of eligible Cyberpunk 2077 content between 6am CT on Sept. 25 and 4:59pm CT on Oct. 2. NUS Infiltrator Boots: Watch one hour of eligible Cyberpunk 2077 content between 5pm CT on Oct. 2 and 4:59pm CT on Oct. 12. NUS Infiltrator Jacket: Watch one hour of eligible Cyberpunk 2077 content between 5pm CT on Oct. 12 and 4:59pm CT on Oct. 21. NUS Infiltrator Headgear (custom drop): Watch one hour of Cyberpunk 2077 content from one of the eligible channels between 6am CT on Sept. 25 and 4:59pm CT on Oct. 21. The eligible channels are: Alanzoka, AVAMind, CohhCarnage, CyborgAngel, ELoTRiX, HasanAbi, JesseCox, k4sen, Lirik, OLDboiUA, POW3R, Rubius, SadDummy (서새봄냥), Shroud, TheSphereHunter, UrQueeen Finally, players can earn the Yasha sniper rifle in-game items by supporting an eligible Twitch partner or affiliate with a gift of two Twitch subscriptions, gifted between 6am CT on Sept. 25 and 4:59pm CT on Oct. 21. CDPR has posted a massive list of thousands of streamers eligible for this campaign.

A real Addon

New city area, around 30 hours or more of playtime (I took my time, got around 50 hours out of it), great quests/stories, this is how an Addon has to be made! Not the 1-3 hours story playtime DLC plus three weapon skins that other companies sell for 15 Euros. It fits nicely into the main plot, even though you kind of know how it ends if you have played the main game once before (though I remember reading there is a way to actually end the whole game with the final mission of Phantom Liberty depending on the choices you made). But still there are enough twists and turns to keep you on your toes. Cyberpunk has evolved from a shabby start to one of my favourite games of all time! I rarely play a game more than once, but for Night City I gladly made an exception.
