It's both worlds with this dlc and v2.0, bad and good at the same time, I enjoyed it, and there's always a but, going into the but (funny), would be tlfr,
ray tracing npc's go all white, turn off.
use steam mode deck with some features turned on.
DRM works well for me,
(spoiler) killed reeed, would of liked to kill the president would have been a nice ending.
and this is wher the TLDR comes in.
I bought the original game in october, as a pre order. Having read that it was cheaper thru steam but less favorable to CDPR, I decided to pay the extra 5 euros and get it on gog. I paid 59.99 to get the game, never complained and moaned about glitches, just played it as it was, never requested a refund.
Upon hearing the extension wasn't gonna be free, I was disappointed but I did get how much work went into, specially while fixing the base game at the same time. However, what I find an outrageous is seeing that I have to fork out another 29.99 for the extension, totalling 89.98 euros when you get buddle offers at least 10 euros cheaper. You're rewarding new players, some of which might be part of those of asked for the refund when the game came out whilst penalising the loyal fans who stuck with you, who downloaded gog instead of using steam (which I already had). How does that make sense? Least you could do is give a discount to people who pre-ordered the game. I really want to play the extension, but as a matter of principle, I still haven't bought it and probably won't, at least not at that price. CDPR was applauded by the community when witcher 3 dlc were free but now, not only we have to pay for the extension but I get to pay more than if I just bought it today. Like any company, as soon as you grow, you lose your soul and even your common sense. Shame on you.
