An amazing game that came out too soon

After playing for almost 70 hours, since launch, the game feels like a classic case of a premature release. I'll start with the good parts: - A high quality story backed up by great characters, The main quests and the side ones related to it are top notch. CDPR has again proven to have the best writing team in contemporary AAA gaming. - The game is absolutely gorgeous. I am not able to play it at ultra but even so, it looks top notch. Everything looks absolutely amazing, the atmosphere and design set a new mark. I haven't been so impressed by a game's visuals since Metro Exodus. - Incredible sound design and music. They made up an entire punk rock band just for this game. - Beautiful range of cars and bikes. It's like having dozens of "Roaches" to choose from when riding around town. - A large replayability potential thanks to the intelligent quest design and the many build possibilities. The skill tree is acomodating enough to handle many play styles and the build variety is bigger than Witcher 3's. The bad parts - Technical glitches and bugs are still present as of 1.05. The game is fully playable but they still have some ways to go - The police system is absolutely attrocious. Needs a complete overhaul. - There are practically no activities outside of the questing zones. You can't perform random activities and this breaks immersion - The general AI is poor both for random NPCs as well as traffic - Car handling is poor. Subjective: Don't go into this game expecting GTA 6. It is NOT a sandbox, it is NOT a TES title with guns. It doesn't have the sheer open endedness of those titles. I think this will hurt it in the long run and CDPR should do a better job of explaining their design goals. I think it was an over-ambitious project. Nevertheless, I am hopeful that they will turn this around. This is not Fallout 76 or Rome 2 TW at release. Under the bugs and the questionable state of some mechanics lies a fantastic game.

Good but not worth Playing now

The game is nice but lacks many core factors. The Good 1. Nice narrative and story 2. I love the combat and how you can customize the character. 3. Liked cars and their designs. 4. I personally loved to use the mantis blades. 5. Like how the game world is set and how there is verticality to the map. The Bad: 1. The game has bugs that destroy the experience. I Personally had a bug where my character fell on the ground and got up but won't move I had to load a save file. Some other bugs were NPC disappearing from the screen or the NPC glitching into doors and vehicles. 2. Driving is fun but with no cars on the road If you hot a car the possibility of your vehicle glitching into the NPC car is high. The driving could use some changes but I doubt there will be any. 3. I played on High settings and the game looked bad when you look at things at a distance. 4. The cops are dumb and broken there is no penalty for committing a crime. If u take cover while fighting a cop in a house or inside a building the cops will spawn behind you or in the wall. 5. The enemies are also locked in a specific area and won't leave it sometime you can stack all of them and kill them in one go. The Bad I heard but didn't encounter: 1. The game crashes if your load save file is above 8 Mb and corrupts your save file. So you cant just max out one character or grind a single character on a single playthrough, which sounds dumb as the world and crafting option is big. Overall the game is OK and I would say it's a solid 6/10. It's way better than fallout and Skyrim, and I hope CDPR puts more effort into the game but the reputation is tarnished and doesn't live up to its promises and dreams given to people.

I love Cyberpunk & CP 2077 weirdly fits

I've been a fan of CDPR since the Witcher 3. Before W3 came out, I read every book then played all the games to truly understand the story. When I heard about Cyberpunk 2077, I was excited. I have massive respect for Pondsmith's world building and I loved how CDPR weaved their stories into their gameplay. I immediately decided that I was going to go on a complete media black out from the 2018 trailer. I wanted this game to be a truly novel experience. And it wasn't. In a weird way, this is Cyberpunk. I bought into the marketing of CDPR and they released a poorly optimized games with a lot of missing features. I'm not talking about wall-running, I'm talking about a functioning police AI system. I'm playing a game that's tagline is "Style over Substance" and yet I can't even charge my haircut? I built my PC to play this game, believing that this will be the best transition to becoming a PC gamer. In that sense, I'm lucky. My game is somewhat playable. Cyberpunk looks beautiful but there's nothing to do in it organically. It feels like a weird amalgation of GTA, WITCHER, and FARCRY and it doesn't execute each premise (open world, cohesive narrative, engaging gameplay) better than the original and yet somehow is NOT more than the sum of its parts. I'm 40 hours in and I'm tired. The game looks beautiful but after 40 hours I realized that the gameplay loop hadn't changed at all in 40 hours. No matter my upgrades, I had the same kit to deal with everything in the same expected way. Ex: I'm a hacker. I need into a side gig. I know there's gotta be a grate or auto-open door or a path. I found the narrative to be extremely bitter while also not challenging or pushing the genre in anyway. This has to do with the one central conceit of this game: This story belongs to V & Johnny. Not you. This game is what Cyberpunk is. CDPR is (now) one of the (smallest) megacorps of gaming and I used to be a Corpo. This is triple A gaming. Choomba, it's time to delta from Triple A Biz

Not as good as I expected

The game is pretty interesting, the city is beautiful... but the AI is pretty bad, the driving is awful (idk why anyone can make a good driving mechanism like GTA), the game is buggy as hell and it has a lot of lag with a GTX 1080 at Full HD (1080p) resolution. I honestly expected something awesome, but the game is just... average... btw, the game is very focused on "personalization", but after the initial creation you can't even change your haircut, LOL.
