Cyberpunk 2077

This is going to be a great game, a year from now when they iron out all of the bugs, glitches and oversights. I feel like such a gonk for having preordered this. I should have waited for the GOTY edition -- and gotten it for a discount. Here's why I gave Cyberpunk three stars. I took one star off for the bugs and one more for CDPR lying about the state of the game -- not on PC, on consoles. Before Cyberpunk came out, they said they'd leave greed to other companies, but then they lied to get people to buy the game. That's not acceptable. Also, it's a little bit funny that a corpo will lie to get you to buy a game about greedy corpos, don't you think? Stupid me for thinking a corpo is my choom. I had put together a looong list of issues I ran across while playing the game. But I had to remove it cause this review box said I was over the character limit.

... it will be a good game. I bought it few days ago (with patch 1.06), but it keeps crashing. Reinstalling, deleting, completely uninstalling GPU, drivers. hex edit exe >>> still 5-10 crash in hour... no answer from support. I'm looking forward to summer! Then it will be 5*

Gameplay wise this is fine, nothing too bad but could do with some extra depth as I because a jack of all trades master of most by the end. The main thing in terms of gameplay that has let this game down is how wonky the driving is (it feels like I'm playing a Ubisoft game) and how braindead the AI is. Even the original Deus Ex had better AI. Performance wise this ran fine for me however I started playing from 1.06 onwards. Minor bugs are a plenty, this along with the bad AI and railroaded story prevented me from getting immersed. The story is well written however I never got to spend enough time with any one faction and I didn't live with too many consequences on part of my actions. If there was more choice (especially with what ending you choose or how you attempt the raid) then I would actually feel connected with my V rather than him just being some other character that I get some control over. The soundtrack is great, I would prefer more metal as this is a cyberpunk game. The same goes for the aesthetics, it’s great however I would prefer something that looked more like a punk rock/heavy metal Blade Runner. Wait for the game to come of early access (actually finished) and for there to be some good mod support.

I want to start off with that I pre-ordered this game 4 days before launch, played it for 20 hours, realized how buggy and unfinished it was, decided I wanted to wait, asked for a refund here in GOG, it took them a little over 1 FULL month to finally process that. CDPR, GOG and the like have undelivered in absolutely every aspect they could have. The game wasn't good, my interaction and first time experience with GOG wasn't good. There still seems to be a bit of pride issue from upper management still (especially that idiot Adam Badowski), thinking they can defend the game into being a good game. It's not, be real CDPR. Learn from it and be better.

The main story is great, but with all the bugs and glitches is it really worth it ?! My first 10 hours were great! But once I tried to do some side missions I found that there wasn't much to do. Also, the AI is horrible! I honestly can't believe how bad it is. That's all I'm going to say about it, if you want more info just YouTube it. I was getting bugs that I haven't even seen on YouTube, or heard people talking about them. even to this day! The performance is also pretty bad, the game is horribly optimized I hope they fix this. The only good thing about this game has to be the story. With all these issues the game is still in early Beta stages, once the game is finished everyone should play it. But for the moment just wait till the game is finished, guessing from the update speed the game should be done by the end of 2022.
