The biggest disappointment of 2020

For something marketed as an immersive experience, it does little to make you feel as if you're part of Night City. Here are just a few of the things off the top of my head that I found disappointing: - First and foremost is my main pet peeve: - Perks are badly/incorrectly worded. (I have a big gripe with this one as I had wasted so much time planning out my build only to find that the perks do not work as intended. ) E.g. I took a couple perks from the Annihilation skill tree that I thought would work with weapons outside of the Annihilation tree weapons (i.e. shotguns, light machineguns, heavy machineguns) only to find out that they do not. I assumed that the perks I took would work with other weapons because the descriptions did not specify that they must be used with specific weapons unlike other perk descriptions that specify that it only works with particular weapons. Now I've allotted several points into Body only to find out that it's worthless and of course there's no way to reset your attributes. - You can't eat and/or drink in food stalls or bars except for a few scripted moments in quests. - Generic NPCs you talk to all give the same redundant lines that just completely break immersion. Just terrible (TERRIBLE) AI . - NPC cars just stop when you leave your car in the middle of the road. - Poor inventory system. Honestly no one touches the food consumables in their inventory. Just get rid of it and replace it with actual interactable stalls. It takes so long to go through your backpack to look for one single thing. - You cannot reset attribute points. (it's an RPG for crying out loud!) This is in no way a complete list of the issues in this game. Yes, bugs can be fixed but the gameplay itself and how you interact with the world is downright disappointing in terms of immersion, especially compared to other games that provide better immersion such as Red Dead Redemption 2. You can't blame this on bugs, this is just poor system implementation.

Not the game we were promised

You can enjoy the game, even in the horrible release state it is. I certainly did, but the game I played was a fun looter shooter, not a cyberpunk game and not a proper RPG. Undelivered promises and stripped down game is what Cyberpunk 2077 currently is. I might revisit this review if things change. Pros: +- Good story. Totally linear but good. + Great interactions with Johnny, probably the best part of this game. + Good sound design +- Very detailed map. Almost every single location is prepared for all playstyles - brute force, tech or stealth. Sometimes this feels awkward when there's 3 doors right next to each other labeled "stronk go here" "stealth" and "tech". Cons: - One of the buggiest games on release. - Pretty limited character customization. For example I wanted more hairstyles... Mods will eventually fix this I guess. - Your choices matter not. At all. 99% of dialogue options lead to the same results. There's a bunch of endings, but you can choose any of them in one place (some only if you finished a few side quest chains). - Not cyberpunk. It might seem to be on the surface, but it's skin deep. A few main story quests did get close though. - 25-30 fps low on overclocked 1060/6 - recommended for 1080p high :( - AI is either horribly executed (cops, pedestrians) or non existent (combat) - Annoying controls with no way to rebind them without mods. - Empty non-interactive world. Crowds of NPCs that have a single interaction that is a "fk off" one liner. - I did mention a ton of bugs, right? - Unbalanced character progression (combat viability), crafting, economy. After level 15-20 V becomes so overpowered that combat doesn't pose any challenge - Car handling could be better. Locks you out to 1-2 cars that can actually steer properly. Mods fix it partially Again, I did enjoy the game, but that's NOT the game we were promised. Just watch E3 2018 footage, most of the good stuff was stripped to some bare bones substitute. Such a disappointment

Uhmmmm.. what the hell happened...?

Never have I played a game I loved and hated so equally than this one. Its up there with my fave games but if someone would ask me to rate this from 1 - 10 it would get a solid 3.5... This thing is a dumpsterfire... FIX IT...

An unpolished gem

There's a lot of great things in CB2077. it looks great, vehicle sounds, atmosphere. there's even a few great stories in there. a city and its surrounding area to explore. BUT, sadly it is awash with bugs. performance can vary greatly even on high end pcs. the bugs are mostly annoying and reloading can get rid of some of them but they do break the immersion, bugs aside, the story feels incomplete. played the game for more than a 100h and tried various ways to resolve quests etc,. it feels like there's a lot missing. character responses and how they talk about the world can vary and feel rather unrelated considering what you actually did. the police system in this game is bonkers. npcs are mostly just there. nothing to intresting outside specific missions. The whole thing kinda makes it all feel rather blend and the world doesn't come to life nor does it feel alive outside those specific things you do. If you're ok with all of that, play it. there's certainly something there. there's a lot of fun to be had along with the frustration.

60% GARBAGE

This is a game i have been wating for since 2014, since they released the witcher it was sure too be good , unfortunately this is not the case, the original team for the witcher was just not enough people too produce this 'huge' open world game, so they needed more than the 250 people that made the witcher so they decided another 100+ people would help, this 60% , instead of focusing on mechanics working properly, in game systems working efficenly and making seemles ai the extra help wanted too focus on sexual adds for in game as well as dildos, they have spent more time on making 100s of different adverts and bilboards rather than making a good game, im sure its not just the programmers or 3D modeling teams too blame or the animation department, no most likley it was management, you can see how bad the game has been managed, the games focus on story and the price of big actors also has played a role, i could go on and on about how bad this game is but its boring, you can see that anywhere, there is no replayability none even if they just fixed the police system it would make theend game more fun but no nothing this game is garbage the team behind it are garbage and the texture team are probably some of the worst ive seen this was meant too be a next gen game but it wouldnt pass for 2015, if you want too play a good next gen game go play red dead redemption 2 dont give cdpr anymore of your hard earned money you will be dissapointed ive put in 100 hours and trust me it does not get better, . when you play for hours you see the mass amount of failures in the most basic of things, textures resolution even at max look like actual ps1 game textures and thats on pc, its basically made by complete noobs at this point, adding models too the skyscrapers you cant even see adding too the poly count makign it render pointless models you wont see, if the team cant even put 3D models in the right place how can they make a next gen game ?
