A disappointment

I mean, sure it's playable, sure it has a story; but is any of it good? Not really, unless rushed and incomplete dot your best experiences, I doubt you'd want to jump into this half-finished experience any time soon. For the short list of in-game mechanics, nearly every other Open-world or RPG title is deeper, has a more creative draw, (I.E. attempted to introduce new or unique mechanical systems to the game to alter their title from the competition), or plain better implemented gameplay mechanics. And I mean this, it's almost as if they checked off boxes for features necessary but never adjusted the mechanics so the entire game feels like a rough-draft where every few minutes something is clearly missing from the equation. For all it's ability to want to suck me in, it couldn't because it still had it's flesh and bones showing through the textures and clearly cut content within the world. I understand for example, you couldn't make wall-running a thing, yet you left the mechanic test asset in the world? (A very fun billboard if you come across it) Dual-wield pistols look great on Jackie, it's just a shame that was also cut content. That montage was another wasted opportunity of clearly cut content, but barely managed to be more than a slap in the face to story-telling and instead slipped into a weird realm of uncomfortable exposition. (The list goes on) There is nothing here but a linear rollar-coaster where you coast along realizing that this isn't really an RPG or an Open-world game, it's just attempting to look like one to mask that it's actually just an interactive movie about Johnny Mnemonic...err...sorry Silverhand. (The plots are so similar I can barely discern the two) Had they delivered a game that did everything every other open-world RPG does as a baseline, (Despite my grievances with the lackluster story), it would have be a killer product that modders would return to for years. (Like Bethesda titles) But they delivered an empty, so... :c

shouldve been a movie instead

the gameplay is not that fun with halfbaked mechanics in a world that really doesnt feel that open... side content is boring as well so imo stick with the main quest which at least has cool scripted events cyberpunk tries to be gta + witcher + deus ex and has all of their weaknesses but none of their strengths

unfinished non-RPG

In short: - it's fun to play game itself, but it feels unfinished in all directions except music and art - it laks fun in quests - your choices doesn't really change anything in the plot pluses: - it looks great (if you have latest video card and not a PS4...) - is sounds great - there are few interesting side quests minuses (no spoilers): - bugs; - graphic glitches and bad physics, which combined cause another bugs (such as non-lootable body fallen from the roof to somewhere underground); - only two romance lines can be called solid and finished - and only if you choose a special option of ending; - endings are a disappointment: 1) prologue options (your background) doesn't matter at all throughout the game, and most sadly they don't affect ending anyhow, 2) you can't affect anything in the epilogues (except the choice in the "bad" ending), 3) it doesn't matter if you agree with another important character through the game (except the "secret ending" which is mostly the same as another one), 4) it doesn't matter how much time you spend on finishing quests, you will still have the same time-related outcome in the end Come on, even Fallout 1 had a days count. why not giving a deadlines like 30d/60d which will affect an ending???; - shooting and stealth are arcade; - melee fighting is just awful, especially framing - you can dodge or be in the air, but still will get a punch; - crafting is kinda unnecessary It's also not well-designed as you need to click there a lot unless you change a config parameter (why there's no option to specify how many items you want to craft???); - lack of fun in quests, only the most darkest reality, 99% of quests are gore, violence, rape, etc

Good game but disappointing

There are a lot of things to say about Cyberpunk 2077, good and bad. I have played about 110 hours with my first character, and i'm a bit disappointed. Genre : The game is an Action-Adventure game, not a RPG like they sold it. A lot of mechanic seems to be from a RPG, but they don't really impact your gameplay. Graphics : The city is beautiful, i take my hat off for the artists who worked on it. Each district has its own identity, and you can easily be amazed by some lighting effects when you're chilling on a street between two missions. Tthe lighting doesn't look good on the characters. Story / Open world : I think it's the best part of the game. I played as a female V, and the actress delivered a perfect performance, the emotions were palpables. In the main quests, there are some moments of grace, like the heist for the act 1. For the secondary quests and gig, there are ok but the gigs are a lot repetitives. At the beginning, the city seems incredible. There is a lot of people and traffic in the rush hours. But, after some hours, you noticed behaviors from npc that break the immersions. And, apart from the quests, there is nothing to do in the city, no interactions with NPC or companions. RP and gameplay : The character creation part is bad, they should have keep the one from the demo 2018 (Saint row 3 did better) The life paths don't impact the story at ALL, and, generally speaking, any choices in the game. There is no style/street cred mechanisms in the game, and it's a huge let down for me. The video 2077 in styles is from the 25th october 2020 and, for me, it's at least a false advertising. For the gun fights, it is very good. The tech weapons are OP. The cyberware changes a lot the gameplay and adds a lot of fun. UI : Weird choices they made. The crafting menu isn't practical. And, once again, the menu from the demo was a lot more beautiful. So, it's a fun and good game, but not a revolution and especially not what they showed us in the trailers.

sadly i Went for a refund

It has a lot going for it, but it is an incomplete game, if it gets patched in the future and gets a disscount i´ll buy it. but it was a great let down, some bugs ruined a couple of missiones and the experience overall wasn´t not that immersive for me.
