Cyberpunk 2077

"It'll be ready when it's ready!" was CDPR's confident statement riding off the back of one of the best games ever made. (Witcher 3) So what happened?...It is not ready, clearly. I'm seeing so many bugs its riddiculous. The trouble is that the story, atmosphere and graphics are superb (keep in mind I'm playing on a RTX 3080) but the constant bugs ruin the experience and immersion, with characters disapearing, being suddenly pushed across the map for no reason etc etc. I could go on....for a loooong time. My advice would be wait at least 6 months to a year before you buy. I may actually stop playing (I'm 21 hours in) and wait until its fixed. Shame on you CDPR!

Feels like your average modern Far Cry game mixed with a bit of Fallout 4. Not saying that good or bad, just nothing new. I don't feel like my money was wasted, and i don't really feel let down since i went in assuming it'd be a lot worse than it actually was. I enjoyed my 50 or so hours played so far, the main questline was pretty good and some of the side quests are memorable, but outside of that it felt fairly generic for reasons i'm sure a thousand other reviews have covered. I am hopeful that at some point down the line there will be interesting content added to the game, maybe a DLC continuing the story (although that would be difficult due to the multiple endings) or something overhauling the open world content or even just a new zone or two, but in its current state there isn't really much to look forward to after completing the story. To conclude this directionless rant, this game feels like the sort of Hollywood action movie you've seen a thousand times before, theres guns, explosions, cars, awkward sex scenes, Keanu Reeves, a rather uninteresting sound track, a clown with a grenade for a nose and a hell of a lot of physics bugs.

Cyberpunk 2077 is a lackluster experience that does not even rival GTAv, an 8 year old game. Cp77 was taunted as an ultra real experience full of cutting edge tech portrayed in an Edgy future setting. The Truth is that CD Project red did not deliver what they promised. So many things shown have been removed that basically its just a hollow shell. Where are combat cabs, where is the Casino in Heywood, where is the character building between V and Jackie. its such a disappointment that it literally makes me leery of anything they do anymore. The promises and statements made in deep dives and in the past years have left the entire gaming community hanging and going this is not the people involved in the Witcher series. Thanks CDPR you have managed to kill my 8 year hype for this game.

I will take a gamble and bet that cdpr will realize the true potential of the game. I know they can build on it and go past the standards that other rpg games have set. Nightcity suggests that it is more than just a stage that players will walk through and admire. It is a city of ambition and the beauty it holds is a testament to the ambition that the company had for the game which is hindered by its lifeless AI. But, unless they fix the game, Nightcity will continue to remain as a city of suggestions and an unrealized dream. I have faith that the game will be masterpiece. I will wait till then.
