This game is NOWHERE near a finished. Such an awesome premise (promise) from CDPR, but oh so lacking.
Features:
- Driving that brings nostalgic feelings from DarkRP in Garrys Mod.
- Lifeless NPCs that clip through eachother/yourself.
- Endless other glitches like floating items and exploding vehicles.
- Clunky movements and lackluster gunplay.
- Non-existent optimization which makes me feel like im playing on a console, but I am really on a high end gaming PC.
Such a letdown...
I am sad to say that I am disappointed in Cyberpunk 2077. I expect day one bugs. Let's not kid ourselve and pretend like any game comes out flawless on dayone, but the sheer number of bugs was so overwhelming that it ruined my experience.
The first bug I encountered was at the beginning of the game. I came out of V's appartment to find a guy floating in the air with his feet at eye level. At first, I thought he had hung himself, but when I look closer I saw that he was smoking a cigarette and looking around. NPCs are not the only things I find floating in the world. I find weapons, and random other objects floating in the air all over the place.
The second bug that I noticed happened later in the game. After seeing Johnny Silverhand for the first time, I left my apartment and the curbs, crosswalks, NPC clothing, Cars, and buildings were cycling texture sets and flickering black and gold. I thought this was supposed to represent some side effect of the trauma he endured, but it persisted for several hours.
The third bug I found was just as bad as the second. I had audio loss. there were times when subtitles would show up, but no one was moving their mouths, and other sounds started disappearing. This happened at pivotal story points. experiencing this in conjunction with the textures flickering forced me to restart the game.
I also experienced a sever drop in FPS during the Johnny Silverhand memory flashback where he pushes the guy against the wall, and looks into the mirror.
There was another time when Johnny Sivlerhand was smoking during dialogue and another unlit cigarette was just floating in front of his face.
Those are the bugs that really stood out to me. My other issues with the game have to do with keyboard and mouse controls mapping. It frustrates me that the interact key is locked to F and cannot be remapped.
I have already put in more than 17 hours of gamplay, and I have to say... I was expecting... more. I fugred it would have some bugs, but...
Its a good game but not without its issues. lots of key rpg elements are missing from the game and other elements that were shown in the original trailer were cut. Also the performance is poor it needs work i haven't seen any bugs though.
I wish this game had more customization and better performance because now i am holding off playing this until i can find a 3080 in stock to replace my 1080ti
Came in for the "mature RPG for mature people". Found your average open-world playpen in ( stunningly ) beautiful graphics.
If you came in for GTA mechanics in a cyberpunk world, read no further. If you can ignore the terrible car controls, the weird and mostly useless loot-explosion you will be playing what you expect you'd be playing.
If you came in for the story and narrative backbone that made the otherwise average W3 what we love, you are out of luck.
Writing is below average so far ( and narrative progression is borderline RPG-naive levels ).
The chemistry in the narrative carriers does not exist.
The GTA comparison bodes badly for CP, weirdly enough, as GTA is comparatively well-written.
TLDR:
Beautiful Cyberpunk graphics, mediocre open-world playpen with unimpressive writing/ acting and narrative backbone.
