Disapointing

At first I'd like to say that the game is not bad, but it is not masterpice or GOTY in its current state. I would give it 8/10 if the game was polished. For now it;s about 6.5 or 7/10 from me. The game runs quite fine for me, I encountered some bugs but nothing gamebreaking, I had to reload a save only once during a quest and I have about 10 hours of playtime. So far: + Night City is very impressive + good atmosphere + good quests and characters + story and writning + runs not bad for me and I'm playing on slightly below than minimum requirements: I3-4150, radeon r7 370, SSD, 8GB RAM - Police system is absolutely terrible, I have no idea who thought it would be good to have police spawn out of thin air instantly after commiting crime, even if no one is watching and then you can just run 50 meters of and they give up. They also can't drive cars. - AI driving doesn't exist, cars won't go around an obstacle - Combat sometimes feels bullet spongy - Character cuztomization cannot be changed in any way after starting, not even a haircut (With so much emphasis put on advertasing the customization) -In witcher you could play gwent and I hoped some type of card game would be avalible in Night City - No car chases outside mission (Which would be intresting) - Some buttons are badly set, like crouch and skipping dialog on the same button (C), - Many cut corners - Ocasional bugs and glitches - While driving you can't shoot, or even turn back in first person to see while reversing. CONCLUSION: You know how poeople talk that Witcher 3 combat is bad but the story makes up for it more than enough? In case of Cyberpunk instead of combat, almost every aspect is good at best, and I am not sure if the story can make up for it enough for it to be a high rated game. My opinion may change after playing more, or after fixes. I am still enjoing the game, but it is disapointing. Game could of have been so much better than it is

Broken

I've spent many hours trying to get through 1 hour of actual game playing time. Game has crashed on my around 20 times including 5+ times shutting down my entire computer with different error codes every time. Difficult to vouch for a game that I can barely play for 5 minutes at a time before my entire computer quits. Playing on 3750x cpu and 2070super with 32gb ram.

A somewhat painful experience

My dissapointment comes mostly from the fact CDPR was not honest with the consumer about this game's performance and amount of bugs. If they had prepared us in some way, I would have been much more forgiving about the state of the game on release. I have no doubt they will patch and fix most, if not all, bugs in the future but right now I am a bit crushed with it's current release. That said, the gameworld looks amazing and feels wonderfully realized. Apart from some police and enemy AI issues they created an amazing world, fully deserving the hype. They created a city I want to be immersed in. It's just a shame that immersion is constantly shattered by the numerous bugs and visual glitches. In the first 20 minutes I encountered several quest breaking bugs. Next to controller drift which made creating a character a real struggle. The camera would sometimes leave my character during cutscenes and stay there, making me restart the game and the mission only for it to happen again. My PC more than has the minimum required specs so that was never the issue. I feel bad for the developers having crunshed on this game and getting this sort of feedback. I wish it were different. I want to love this game so bad, but I really can't in it's current state. If you can wait, do yourself a favor and wait!. At least until the major bugs have been ironed out. Don't let this release ruin your experience (like it has a little bit for me)

Just not ready yet

I love this game but I hate the many bugs in it. Pros: Great storytelling (CDPR really excels at telling great stories and this is no different), Immersive world (the design sights sounds and goings on of the city make you really feel a part of it), Intertersting Characters. Good FPS Mechanics (peeking from cover or around corners is very intuitive and the wide variety of weapons is good), Great Voice Acting and Facial Animations (when they work). Keanu is amazing! Cons: Many annoying and distracting bugs (eg: floating cigarettes, slow texture loading, characters mouths do not work in cars for some reason). Cars feel a little floatly to drive and seem too bouncy when driving over uneven surfaces. The different backgrounds do not seem to have effected much difference in the story apart from some extra dialogue options. I expected missions or branches in the story specific to your background but this does not seem to be the case. Also there is no day/night cycle for NPCs Overall the game really seems like it was realeased too soon. I think they should have pushed it back until next year and done some more play testing to indentify the bugs.

Fun mechanics but lifeless world

So far I've enjoyed the main storyline but the world is just non responsive to what a player does. Traffic and pedestrian AI is nowhere to be seen, can't pick a fight with a stranger, pedestrians just crouch in one spot when something happens. Police spawns behind you when a stray bullet hits a civilian. Nothing interesting is happening in the world when you stop to watch. I've spent more than 10 hours walking around Night City just to see people walking back and forth between two points. Very little interaction between npcs, I was hoping to see an improved version of Euphoria being used to simulate npcs and bring the city to life. Traffic just stops when you park in the middle of the road, npcs just sit there when being shot at in their cars, or they get out and crouch. At the moment this game is good for the main quest only. So many little jobs which involve clearing small groups of enemies confuse the proper side missions, I feel no pull to invest time in these. The Witcher's world wasn't massively interactive but had so many stories to uncover, here it's like a check-list to clear on the map. I thought the world is missing a few functions like a portable radio, a phone with interesting functions, auto drive, futuristic webpages, preview clothing items, more radio djs and tv shows that give insights into the city life. I am disappointed to see that what made The Wither special is missing outside of the main quest line. The main quest beats and moments are great if somewhat on the rails some of the time.
