Why buy on GOG.COM?
DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.
I bought Cyberpunk on 3 different platforms at launch, and it doesn't run well on any of them. I'm not even going go into the removed/missing content, broken skills, bugs, etc. After waiting and now seeing the next gen update, it's apparent that CDPR doesn't care and neither should we. Purchase at your own risk.
NGL I do have a dank system with an i7 97k and 2070 Super. Bear that in mind since I know not everyone has a good setup as I am fortunate to have and the game ran great. Never experienced any crashes or anything of the sort.
Moving forward, there are pretty much no game breaking bugs that I dealt with. Also, any performance issues from the very beginning are almost non existant and the game runs much better now. Game runs more consistant because before i'd get 120 to 45 fps. Now its about 120 to 90 in 1440p at 144hz. Just all in all feels way better because when I would drive my game would kind of shit itself and I could immediately feel the fps drop, especially in crowded areas with stores etc. Now, its MUCH better.
And honestly, sometimes it feels like the bugs are part of the world or just meme worthy but nothing that breaks the game that requires you to reload your save etc. Plus the game does a great job autosaving alot so if youre in a pinch you can load the most recent autosave.
I have about 90 hours on this game and the majority of it was after the recent patches and I can honestly say for the most part, I had a great smooth time with this game.
I left my file at the very beginning of the game so in the 80 hours I spent after the first 10, game ran great.
The only reason I didnt give 5 stars because there were alot of little things I wish the game had like
- Customize vehicles
-recustomize your champion
-vehicle controls are still kinda wonky but once you figure them out its ezpz
-More/ better fleshed out romances. I wanna be night cities biggest jiggalo
-Very few parts of the game have weird performance issues but its nothing bad just kind of weird
All in all, I really loved this game and its story. I think im going to 100 percent this game after this review but please reconsider coming back. If anything, buy it when it goes on sale. 100 percent do it
Groundbreaking open world game with stunning story but with a lack of sidemissions. I played through all in 150 hours ;-)
This game is full of amazing stuff, If you can enjoy the details you will find musicians playing guitars with real hand and fingermoves. I have been lost numerous times doing nothing but roaming through night city.
My wishes are,
- more interactions possible in the future and
- more content is delivered. Random missions - repetitive if nessessary
- content DLCs for money with cool stuff
- a more not so deadly ending
People calm down with your hate over glitches and bugs. Play it on PC and all is good :-D
