Cyberpunk in mid 2021
Cyberpunk to me is a great game today if taken on its own and not looking at what some hyped it up to be. It kinda moves from its RPG roots in the witcher to a far more "Skyrim"-esque RPG take where the missions themselves rarely gives you a choice on how they will resolve. The RPG element is thus reduced for the most part to choosing what missions to do and what not to do. The people you meet will most often not really matter for more than a quest or two with the exception of a select few (maybe 10) that show up more often than that. Despite this and the occasional minor bugs that are still in the game I really enjoyed my journey through Cyberpunk2077. Why? Because despite the major part of the side quests feeling rather generic there are true masterpieces among them as well, scenes where the game actually gave me goosebumps because the atmosphere, setting and presentation was so well done. So while the game has its flaws its story telling and presentation was for me still well worth the time and money spent. Just make sure to not miss out on the side plots offered by the characters you meet during the main storyline The good - The stories told by this games main missions and some side missions (typically the ones from characters you meet during the main plotline) - The feeling and presentation in many scenes The bad - The lack of impactful dialogue choice in most missions - Clunky controls for PC - The occasional bugs (always solved by reloading so far for me) - Occasionally the voice acting is incoherrent, in a few rare ocassions V can go from normal converation to yelling between sentances without any reason
