Excellent
Great game. The atmosphere, the feel of being in a city ... has not been realized in any game as it has in Cyberpunk 2077. There is a lot of anti-CDPR propaganda and puritan entrepreneurship out there, at the moment. Some of it is, ironically, envy at a successful gaming company/corporation that CDPR is (or is percieved to be). Some, a result of vengeful Twitter Puritans who insist on having their pound of flesh for CDPR not having sufficiently genuflected to them for some pet issue of theirs. The remaining are plain lazy asses who want their internalized principle of 'not working hard in life but yet be rewarded,' to be validated by this game company (aka the supposed 'crunch' problem). And who can forget the entitled, who believe any game they 'waited 8 years for' (i.e., did nothing other than read the odd article online about the game) ought to fulfil all their desires? The reality is, none of the above has anything to do with the game. As a gamer, the only question that is meaningful is: how is the game? Is it good? Is it worth my time and money? The simple answer is: yes. This is a great game, well worthy of your time. Look at the online criticism of the game. Observe how silent they are about the game's fundamentals - the action gameplay, the stealth mechanics, the heist game structure and importantly, the story. Do these all work? The answer, again, is a resounding yes. The game deals with some heavy subject matter, and excels the Witcher 3 at several places. Do I have any criticism? Yes. Some of the dialog is too sweary for the gravity of the situation, occasionally. But, that's ok. I can overlook it. One can overlook flaws to appreciate the gem.
