Cyberpunk 2077

I bought and played Cyberpunk 2077 and the best thing I got out of it was a lousy T shirt.

I played this game on release. It was a waste of time then, it is a waste of time now. I only fully played it to make sure it really was that bad. No real guidance, no real explanation of what type of quest you're going into, cops randomly spawning and wiping you for no reason, zero crowd population. It's a mess, a lie, and the fact they're still trying to "fix" it is telling on what a terrible job they did. I don't recommend this game to anyone and was actively telling people to avoid it as I played it to completion. Don't waste your money or your time. Play a better game. Probably use a different platform as well.

By far the biggest gaming let down in recent history. This is the type of game I would expect from a B studio with a small budget. Aside from the artwork and graphics this game is just a hollow shell and reminds me of a technology demo. the plot is poor and quite short with unskippable drawn out parts that make attempts to reply it very annoying. Almost everything they advertised was cut from the game. Most of the "cool stuff" in the first 15 minutes of the game is specifically scripted for that part of the game. Shooting from a car? Hope you enjoy it, you'll never do it again. Mission with another person? Lol won't be doing that anymore. Car chase? Okay there's ONE more car chase in the entire game. If you get the cars out of view though they disappear and you win. It's a metaphore for the entire playing experience.

This game is an "immersive" "open world" "RPG". Those are all in quotes because in a decade of development nobody opened a dictionary and looked up what those words meant. Immersive? If you're into watching people talk at you for five minutes at a time (seriously, someone was a bit too in love with their overly wordy dialog), then sure. Open world? If you consider a huge map with very little to do in it an open world, then sure. RPG? If you consider just barely qualifying as not being on rails and constantly watching you character do something you wouldn't during a cutscene, then sure. Aside from that, the game is very pretty. Or, it would be, if it didn't have terrible lighting. The action isn't any fun either, because a decade was apparently not long enough to polish the mechanics. The driving works about as well as the gunplay, as well. But hey, let's all celebrate the fact that you can be transgendered, because that will never matter in the game at all. In short, if you enjoy watching a game try it's hardest to be a movie about conversations, then this is the game for you. If you can get past all the technical issues and bugs, that is.

The game had a lot of potential and the graphics looks amazing, but the story, side-quests and overall quality makes you think that the game was just badly planned. The city is dead, the interactions are very controlled and artificial. The gameplay itself feels clunky, shooting, driving, inventory management. I can't recommend this game, sorry.
