55 hours of outdated gameplay

There is nothing out of ordinary (by far, this game actually below average expectations) in this game that is "breathtaking", if you played Watch_Dogs, FarCry, Deux Ex HR and Witcher 3 (cp2077 shares same quest progression system and many other logical assets) means that you've already experienced Cyberpunk 2077. Main Quest 12 hours of absolutely worst quest I've ever played. Story about idiots who aren't capable of thinking ahead or making plan B, failed their job or a terrorist who blew up building just because he acted like moron and can't reflect consequences of his own actions? I'll pass playing this crap again, listening how "bad corporations are" coming from people who are x10 worst. Side-Quests There are few more story lines that goes on second plan about minor characters, some of them are good and fun but way too short. They made thing like "I'll call you for next quest in a few days" to create illusion of quest being long, but whole quest-line may last from 10 to 20 minutes really. Open world Clear map from "?" or "dungeons" of course. Tons of them. All open world activities basically are: Kill/Steal/Loot X at Y spot. That's it. Pure fun. I thought that concept died even at Ubisoft games. So, what is left? "RPG" Mediocre "RPG" progression system, using 20-years old attributes + skills combinations (mostly all of them just + X% passive, lol), useless augmentation system, weapons that actually reskins of a few guns/swords, broken overall balance (you can easily turn yourself in war machine one-shot everything at max. difficulty) and again, lack of any kind of dialog variation system. Game is outdated and barely satisfies needs to fit modern standards, behind nice visual cover game is rotten and offers nothing that you wouldn't meet in past 10 years of gaming, which proves point that they didn't even tried to make something special, but actually tried to sell unfinished product to people who trust brands or believe in advertising.

Genuinely disappointing.

Cyberpunk 2077 feels like a tech demo for RTX that had a game tacked on. I have had endless bugs including two game breaking bugs that caused a restart at around for and eight hours in, respectively. I pushed ahead and was lucky that I did not get another game breaker on a story mission. I have close to four hours of horrendous bugs and quest/questlines that just fail to progress. I had two sets of hands one of which was fully extended mantis blades and the other my actual hands. This bug persisted for nearly three hours even after restarting the game, restarting the system, and installing all three of the other arm weapon options. The arms returned to normal for no discernable reason when I crashed into a car while riding a motorcycle. Thankfully, I only had three crashes. During key points of the final few missions I had to reload the game several times as the characters would get stuck in conversation or on objects, ruining my immersion completely. The performance is all over the place. Pop in is exceptionally bad in certain areas regardless of graphics settings. The RPG mechanics are awfully basic especially regarding skill trees with the primary benefits being ad 5% damage or charge a weapon faster. There are some that stand out but for the most part it is awfully simple, and many skills make skills in other trees redundant. Your choices matter does a degree however you more or less get a different skin of the same ending no matter what choices you make (with one being “better” than the others). The writing in the game is incredibly inconsistent, some quests and story lines truly immersed me in the world that is Night City and the lives of the characters I was interacting with however there were moments in the game where I physically cringed at the dialogue. This game is not worth your money.

Cyber Far Cry

Cp2077 plays very much like a modern Ubisoft action game. When people critique cp2077 they almost always focus on minute gameplay gripes; like imperfect driving, lack of hair customisation, imperfect ui, poor pedestrian A.I, unbalanced weapon damage, inability to buy additional apartments and so on. Basically, people tend to nitpick certain gameplay aspects to justify hating on this game. The truth is - cp2077 is such an immense game with so many gameplay aspects it's bound to lack perfection. The witcher 3 for example, has far simpler gameplay systems than cp2077, yet people love that game. The story lacks a motive completely. You play as V - one of the most generic main characters of all time, who somehow lacks a family, has few friends, and kills even more generic goons for a living. V spends 90% of his time killing goons, because V is himself a goon. The game doesn't provide a reason to care about V's problems, because V isn't a real character. If V was a side character instead of the main, I wouldn't care if he died, why would I, goons die all the time. Actually, no other game character would care, as V lacks any deep, long lasting personal relationships with anyone. However, the main motive of the main story revolves around V's "death". The result is that players don't care. Who knew? Most quests go like this: You get a phone call from someone you don't care about, telling you to fetch or kill something/someone you don't care about. These phone calls feel like chores. The better jobs are those that are face to face, involving character progression. The better quests are still first person perspective, making the dialogue feel soulless compared to the w3's cinematic cutscenes. Also, the soundtrack feels factory made, rather than custom made, further crippling the emotional impact of... everything. I don't have any gripes with the gameplay. The graphics are great, the story is uninteresting. Certainly a far cry from the witcher 3.

a dream come true...not

I've waited for this game since the first teaser and got hyped up over the years. It's my fault, but CDPR did their best to set expectations. So I've preordered which I probably did only a handful of times in my 20 years of gaming. When it came out, I decided to wait even longer because the game was in a catastrophal state. Now, one year later...after trying it, I have to say: I'm disappointed. Not only is it technical still in a rough condition (f.e. bugs, pop-in), it's just not living up to what it was supposed to be. Don't get me wrong. What is there, is good. Sadly that's it and there isn't alot. Characters are kind of deep, story is intriguing, design is spot on, gameplay is fun. On the other side there is awful AI, no decent law and order system, scarce gameplay, more and technical issues. I tried to have a better experience through mods, but that was merely masking what is missing. Get the game on big discount or used or wait for Next-Gen update, maybe that will change a significant number of things. I can't recommend otherwise, sadly.

The 2013 teaser is more entertaining.

This is a terrible game. It may be because I went in with ultra high expectations and was expecting a Rockstar quality game having played RDR2 and GTAV, but after 60 hours I can quite confidently say this game is trash, forgettable, and should've been worked on for double the amount of time it got. Bugs aside (something I can deal with), the fundamental mechanics of the game is flawed. The looter-shooter genre is a cheap gimmick that should've stayed behind in Borderlands but sadly it's infested modern games as a substitute for intuitive and engaging combat. Nothing like dumping more than 10 point blank shotgun rounds into someone's head to kill them amirite? (this should never be something that has to happen. ever.) The police system is redundant and useless; teleporting cops that one-hit you, are absolute bullet sponges, and don't even chase you in vehicles makes for an undesirable experience. You actually WANT to avoid the police in this game. Not to mention the convenience store flak cannons that one-shot you if you go anywhere in the city with more than 1 star. You guys remember the soldier shown in the 2013 teaser? That model is only used for the 4 star cop, I don't even know why you'd want 4 stars in the first place. So that cool concept is wasted. The city looks great at surface level; great scale, environments, and detail.. only it's quite repetitive and, aside from the front door of your apartment, there are ZERO memorable places that make you think "this spot is lovely, I could just chill here for a while". Advertised in the trailer were activities and pass-times to keep yourself occupied in between quests, yet the only activity I've managed to find was the.. embarrasingly boring rollercoaster ride... Your choices barely matter, and the ones that do aren't significant, some genuinely interesting quests end abruptly with no follow-up, and large portions of the map stay underutilised.. what a waste of potential. I could go on but word limit.
