Definitely top 10 games ever played

I simply cannot understand fully how people are criticizing this game so hard. I guess its due to expectations? I left the hype train a while back, after the second delay and avoided any and all videos, reviews and whatnot (mainly to avoid potential spoilers). Entering the game for the first time I was blown away with the worldbuilding and pretty much instantly understood what they meant when they said it was made with first person view in mind. NPC and storyline is nothing short of amazing, I might be biased as similar topics have always intrested me but wow. Gameplay is intresting and varied, it took me 93h to complete the game and I'm definitely gonna play it again with a different build/style of combact. I heard a lot of people complain about how all guns are the same and you go only for dps.. I guess I was playing a different game than some reviewers, as I kept on switching them to accomodate the type of mission as all weapons play out and feel different. I've encountered maybe 3 bugs or 4 in the almost 100h I played on PC with a 1060 Graphics card and was stable at 60 fps, once again, I don't undestand how the public calls it a bugfest.. guess I was just lucky. Now, for the negatives. There are a few, no denying it, but still, despite the flaws, its definitely still in my top 10. -you don't have enough game altering choices, except for the endgame and some specific side quests; not even illusion of choice where it wouldn't mind what you pick as line dialogue... sometimes it's just about accepting the one dialogue option you have. -npc interactions outside of missions is minimal, which is not a big issue, except for romance options which sometimes removes the suspension of disbelief in world building terms -No world interaction besides story driven reasons, I would have expected more on the potential shops/activities in NC which were minimal (I have faith this will change in upcoming updates) All in all I had fun and love every minute of it, give it a try.

One of the best gaming experience

I've ever had. The game is more than what I expected, just like The Witcher 3, it took me a few hours to get into it but it's worth it. Night City is great, alive and "breathtaking", so many details to discover, so many interesting encounters ... I Hope that CDPR won't abandon the game because of critics cause it's a great game.

Great ideas, lacking presentation

TL;DR: Good game, could be amazing, but doesn't live up to the hype just yet. This game should have had one more year of development. Its potential is great and I based my rating mainly on what it could be some day. Graphics: good, but even on the highest settings they didn't blow me away to the same extent the trailers and teasers did Story: good, I like it, especially the impact of your decisions Controls: so-so, the only game that makes me switch between keyboard/mouse and controller, some controls are labeled incorrectly ingame Open world: good, but the character archetypes of the NPCs get repetitive pretty quickly. I would have preferred the generation of additional ongoing assaults etc., difference between day and night when it comes to crime rate and things like that Bugs: Nothing game breaking for me so far, some weird graphical glitches and smaller stuff. Annoying at times and clearly immersion breaking, but the console versions require fixing first. Improvement ideas: Remove clothing stats, make it purely cosmetic, except for the "add-ons" so that looks don't matter for the gameplay, but perks and add ons do. If looks matter, I shouldn't have to run around looking ugly because those clothes have better stats. Make the UI size adjustable. Additional keys for adjusting the movement speed on keyboard so that you can keep up a slower movement speed, if you want. Reduce the frequency of NPC chatter during combat, it gets repetitive and annoying whenever the combat takes a while.

100hrs in... and it's fantastic

I sank almost 100 hours into the game by now and think the game is definitely worth it. I'm writing this as of patch 1.12. Yes, there are some bugs still, keybinds cannot be changed, occasionally bodies float. Well the game is being patched, there are mods that fix stuff some folks don't like. I have no reason to complain. I really enjoyed the main story line which is filled up with some likeable charcters one gets attached to. Side jobs/gig offer some suprisingly good missions and aren't just a side stuff meant to distract. Well worth the time and feel like they hint what might be coming in DLCs, at least some. Overall gameplay is fun, skill progression resembles Elder Scrolls series approach, the more you use a given skill the better you become at it. Graphics and attention to detail is amazing. Game is filled with those little things like "aliens kidnapped my wife and kids, help me... celebrate!", tones of easter eggs that all add to this unique looks and feel. Obviouly some will always complain, well there are mods for you. If your spec can run the game, if you liked Deus Ex games, enjoy spending time on collecting crafting meterials, thinking where the next skill point should go, don't like corporations, just get it.

I loved it

maybe I got lucky but only had one serious bug that is silly and that one is of the npc stuck in my apartment... not sure how she got there but she is still there after many weeks. wont talk to me or anything but I wonder why!! many of the complaints could be related to not having a top end system. Mine is top spec, running everything max and to be honest I havent had anymore issues than otehr games that I have played and liked in the past. And at max settings the city is busy enough for me.. Yes, driving isnt the best but I probably crashed it many times because I am busy looking at teh beatiful scenery. Without a doubt, this is the best looking game ever. My gamestyle of crit sniper works as I hoped it would. Is the game perfect? Of course not.. I would love to see updates where you can open more doors, more areas accessible etc. Many of the quests were great, some average but overall I really enjoyed the game. I am sure most of you will have magic moments from the game that you will remember....
