This is a bit rough around the edges, but you got a style all your own.
The game has a lot of annoying bugs. It's not finished - that's a fact. But Reds have proven themselves to be those who diligently finish their games and I, in advance, put this game 5 stars. Masterpiece. Which I didn't need to prove.
Honestly, I love this game. I probably was always going to as I've been waiting since E3 2018. But I really do. It has some glaring issues for sure. The RPG systems are quite lackluster, and it can at times feel more like an action adventure game over an RPG. Plus the bugs... Dont get me started on the bugs. hOwever! I do love this game. I've spent about 13 hours in the game so far and just hit the title screen because I spent my time exploring the beautiful world. Even just in watson (the games starting area of sorts) I felt myself getting lost. The writing is great, side quests are great, even the Gigs which are akin to the likes of Witcher contracts are great. On top of that, I lOve the combat and the feel of the guns, which is probably why I love to explore and do events around the world. I can't comment much on the story so far but what I can say is despite the issues and the massive bugs I still love this game. It must be said though that on PC I imagine it's a vastly different experience than console, becuase this game is definitely badly optimised. While I'm annoyed at the 'When It's ready' tagline not being true at this stage I still love the game.
I am just two-three hours into the game (taking it slow and looking around and reading and all). So far the game is everything I expected it to be. There are still bugs here and there, and I also had to use lower settings because I am playing on laptop (i7 8th gen, GTX 1070, 32GB RAM). While riding in the car with Jackie in the beginning, I understand why Keanu said that it is just breathtaking. Good job CDPR and keep it going. (also amazing that the 1.0.4 fix came a day after the game, comparing to a certain viking game where it took them 2weeks for first patch).
P.S. Where can I buy toilet paper in the game? There was none in Lizzie's bar, and I also dont know how to use you-know-what in V's apartment.
I understand other people seem to have some issues with the game, but I'm going to speak only from my personal experiences. I love it. Game looks beautiful, the story has got me hooked, I enjoy the driving quite a bit to the point I'm hardly using fast travel, and the city is lively. I'm without any crashes or major bugs, and the recent day 1 patches have only increased my fps. Only thing I'd wish to change is some keybindings, as most you can change, but a couple are locked for some reason.
This game is meant to push the limits of visual technology, which means if you don't have a great setup, you shouldn't expect to play this game at a high visual fidelity. If you don't like the visuals you output, or you are experiencing more severe crashes and performance issues, the Return function is great and I wouldn't want to dissuade you from using it. But I personally love this title already.
