Potentially a Truly Great Game..

I was unsure about the whole premise of this game, but in most part it is incredibly well written and the main and side missions are excellent. I thoroughly enjoyed the way the side missions explored characters, and it really hooked me in. The progression system is pretty good, although would like the ability to reset character points as well as perks. But it isn't perfect, plenty of bugs which I have no doubt will be addressed but my major gripe is the stupid police system where they just teleport in - they talk about immersion and they have this feature in the game which is beyond disappointing. Also the driving is average, but woukd be low down on the list of grips. In saying that I love the game and am well over 80 hours in and haven't hit the final act of the campaign, the world is truly amazing and I really hope they make some significant improvements like the police. At the moment I'd give it 8.5 to 9 out of 10 because I haven't been able to stop playing since release.

For good computers only, for now...

Right now I've played for about 5 hours and hadn't experienced any crashes, however that's not to say I haven't seen bugs (graphical, animation, physics...) and few sudden performance drops. FOR ME they'r not severe enough to break experience coming from story and characters. However if you'r sensitive to bugs, or expect 60fps on ultra, than wait for patches.

Great game, but worse than W3

Story - great, but I prefer world of the Witcher, sorry ;). Graphics - great, City - great, but traffic needs some improvements, QA (1.03/1.04) - there are some bugs but only once I had to load game because of some error. If you want to see poor QA run retail version of DA:I from DVDs ... Performance - I have 6 years old GPU, 5 years old CPU, brand new SSD and I have about 25FPS on Ultra (18-34 depends on location).

My kind of game.

I have to say, I'm having so much fun playing this. Yes, there are a couple of issues that I wish did not exist and some stuff I wish were present in the game. But that doesn't take away from the greatness that CD Projekt has achieved with Cyberpunk 2077, and especially the gorgeous world of Night City. It's really hard to not want to play this game all the time. And I've been lucky enough to not have had a single crash, 30+ hours in. Some non-game-breaking things keep me from rating this 5 stars: 1. Couple of rough transitions in cutscenes, which often feel rushed in key story missions. Breaks the pacing and immersion. 2. The unremappable "double tap to dodge" sucks. Too hard to do it when you need to, too easy to accidentally do it when you don't want to. I'd like to see the shift key + 3. Would be nice to have more slots and shortcuts for weapons and consumables. But it's not a really big deal. I don't know if that would necessarily reduce the amount of inventory visits. 4. Inconsistency between how your character looks when you create them/inventory mode and in-game (yes I'm mainly speaking about genitalia, but also the colors in the create your character mode are a bit misleading because of the lighting). 5. Very few vehicles on the road, despite the crowd density being set on high. 6. AI of citizens, either on foot or driving, is quite poor. 7. Minor bugs: NPC's in T-poses, floating items, hard to focus on objects that can be picked up when there's a lot of stuff around them, etc. 8. Really kicks my 1660 Ti's ass. I average 42fps at 1080p on Medium-High. This is some Ubisoft-level optimization. But, then again, the same is true for The Witcher 3. 9. Lacking some potentially nice content that I hope will come as patches/DLC, such as: ability to acquire/rent more real estate, more options for cyberware, more types of vehicles (perhaps flying ones?) and of course, a multiplayer mode. Would be a shame not to have that with a world as amazing as Night City.

amazing so far

played a fair bit on day one and about 15 hrs so far. Amazing game with an incredible amount of artistry and details. I can't stop just going around and just admiring all the character costumes and cars. Hasn't been buggy at all (like one person popped into a t-pose off screen) and plays amazing on my old gtx 1080ti (at ultra settings). no need for 4k, 1080p is perfect, since I hate when things are tooo sharp. Can't wait for the DLC and for this to grow!!
