Cyberpunk 2020

I just finished the game and I loved it, but it was a struggle to complete at times due to the technical issues, which are so widespread that there's no way it can receive a 5 star rating in its current state. It certainly plays like a game that came out during a crippling pandemic. By now you've probably seen a lot of the bugs on social media, and while I've enjoyed sharing some of the funnier ones I've encountered, they really prevent you from being fully immersed in this world. For a game that follows The Witcher 3, it's also narratively limited in comparison. But that's OKAY. It doesn't need to be that complex. It has just enough choices to keep you watchful of what you say and do, and that's all I really needed in what is essentially, to me, an open world Deus Ex. If the technical issues were all corrected I'd be just fine with it. Probably. Yes, it could have been more. Yes, there's a laundry list of changes I'd make if I could. Yes, Keanu still can't act. But for 2020, a year that has slowed many companies down to a crawl, it'll do. Just please, keep those patches coming.

Barely Playable But....

I love CDPR, I will continue to support this developer, there products are good and their commitment to us the consumer is evident, I am afraid the game is rought at the moment, it is plagued by LOADS of game breaking bugs, that said, this should not have been released now, I would have rathered wait until this was a FULLY FINISHED AND POLISHED product, I do not like receiving something incomplete, or no efficient for my money, I unsderstand these guys make a living out of making this games, maybe they needed the money desperetaly, I dont know, the game is fantastic, it reminded me a lot of the original Deus Ex, one of my all time favorite games, I just hope they fix the game up ASAP and make it a solid running game, just like DOOM 2016 for instance, that game just ran beautifully, not one single bug at least for me, it is commendable that CDPR are innovating and are creating new IPs, this is what we need, just a liittle more cooking time would have been fair, it is a bit raw at the moment.

Needs a lot of polishing/updates etc

The game is not something it claims to be, it's just more of the same, but with much better visuals. Graphics: 8/10 Gameplay: 6/10 Story: 6/10 Music: 7/10 (No Drum % Bass - and this is probably the most futuristic genre!) Performance: 7/10 (I'm currently with I9 9900k @4.4, SSD NvMe, RTX 2070 super, and 32 gb @3000 Mhz) (Basically if you want to run this game with solid 60+ fps + Ray trai blah blah.... you need RTX 3080 and up) It's the next gen GTA. That's how I feel about this game. I remain positive that CDPR will make this game amazing but in due time. P.S. All weapon scopes are horrible! P.S #2 Game has a solid foundation but sadly needs more content and variety.

Runs well on my 'upper mid range' pc

Playing on an i7 4790, gtx 1660ti on high at 1080p and i've found to performance and visual look of the game to be pretty good. Though i can't get the fps to display through ctrl shift tab that usually does it in galaxy, it seems to be running at 50-60fps from what i can tell. Depending on how much is going on on screen. The game itself is pretty excellent but there is room for improvement, it's like the next big step forward for the deus ex type genre but it isn't the revolutionary advance in gaming that some of us wished/hoped for. Nonetheless have been having a great time playing it with no major issues/bugs as of yet. Though i have had some occasional physics related funk going on in places. I hope CD Projekt Red continue to invest in the games development though in what is a pretty great setting full of atmosphere. Not just from a technical aspect but in features, flying hover vehicles you can pilot with an extra layer of verticality for example. Perhaps more skills/play-styles and more developed npcs with daily routines would really do it for me.

The Flawed Master Piece

The Story: Wonderful, grim dark and thought evoking (A+) Bugs: A lot but not enough to break the game (B) The gameplay: a lot of fun stuff don't open up till later level which is a shame, and there is no NG+ (A-) All in all this goes into the legend next to Mass Effect 1 and 2, Skyrim, Fallout NV, and the Dragon Age 1&2 and the Witcher 3 Wild Hunt
