Loads of fun

I understand that console gamers were sorely disappointed with Cyberpunk 2077 on release, but right from the start it's been flawless fun for me on my Razer Blade, smooth, stable, and surprisingly bug-free for a game that was slammed for being buggy and unstable. In fact, I've encountered very few bugs and they have all been resolved. In my 250-odd hours pf play time, I've only had one crash to desktop. My biggest quibble with game came from the impossible driving controls with a mouse and keyboard, but subsequent patches have stabilized that and I'm now quite enjoying that aspect of the game. As for the gameplay, I'm having a blast. Like Witcher 3, the game map is littered with quest markers, some of them being simple "defeat the bad guys" and some of them leading to long, involved quests. I personally like the main story line -- I think it's engaging and richly detailed and the multiple endings do depend on choices you made in the game. Keanu Reeves really is an essential main character and didn't just show up for a quick cameo to sell games. I must say that the romances are disappointing, though. Once you've had a tumble in the hay, it's basically over, except for a few texts or phone calls. As is there's almost no point to them. Hopefully this will be addressed in DLC because as they stand the romances are pretty flat and don't add much to the game. Play style can be a mix of brawn, brain, guns, cyberattacks, swordplay and even fisticuffs, depending on what you want. I personally love the cyber/silenced handgun sneak assassin play style, and this game does it very well. All in all, the game lived up to most of the hype for me. I'm on my second play through to explore different options, and it's just as much fun as it was the first time through.

Really good game

For me this game is really cool. Whole view of the city and models are really pretty. I know that expectations were really height so there always be some malcontents but for me this is one of the best games I have ever played.

Good Morning, Night City!

In CP2077, you play as V, a mercenary in the futuristic Night City. Developed by CDPR, CP2077 uses similar systems and mission structure that made Witcher 3 one of the best RPGs. Gameplay: CP2077 is an RPG played in first-person. V has many options for overcoming foes and obstacles. Melee combat, gunplay, and hacking allow V to take on enemies, but stealth is also viable. Driving is fun; fistfights are challenging. Characters/Customization: Your V can be either feminine or masculine, a choice affecting romances later in the game. V starts out as either Nomad, Corpo, or Streetkid, a background choice that provides different prologue and occasional dialogue choices. V can loot or craft new clothing and weapons and allocate points in skill trees. Playing as a nomad, I immersed myself into outsider role. Max level 50 required completing all missions and most side content. Did not max all skill trees. Story/Atmosphere: CP2077’s main story can be done in under 30 hours. My initial playthrough was 150 hours, due to immersion, completing missions, never using fast travel. The main story is solid, even epic at times. My ending choice was a textbook happy ending, but there are four other endings to attempt. The side mission quality varied but was more or less on par with the high bar set by Witcher 3. Depending on how you define “cyberpunk” may drive how much you enjoy CP2077. Although not revolutionary-the game is after all based on the pen-and-paper Cyberpunk game-CDPR nailed it for me with their interpretation of the genre, in particular when it comes to Night City, now one of my favorite open worlds. Graphics/Sound: CP2077 is packed with stellar audio and graphics but also a few bugs. No crashes for me, just occasional reloads. Listening to radio stations was a delight, knowing most music was created for CP2077. Replay Value: Yes. I plan to play again, make different choices. Overall Score: 10/10. This was the game I had waited and hoped for. Played in 2021.

Summer 2021 (v.1.22) CyberPunk2077

So I've just spent 48h in to the game and I'll be hitting the very end of the game within I think within 2h. Specs: i7-2500k, 16gigs, GTX 970, HDD&SSD installs (I'll get into this soon) Very short version: I bought game full priced and was incredibly satisfied. Game has been way better optimized and ran so much better than I've could've anticipated. Bad: So yes, there's still some glitches in the game. Occasionally some items seem to be below surfaces to reach them, this is the worst glitch. If you stumble into this try to look bit off to the objects, which can help. Luckily this situation isn't constant at all. Then occasionally some vehicles spawn very close to player in high speeds which is very annoying. Luckily I didn't experience wonky physics which have been seen online in various videos virtually at all. Some vehicle, especially motorcycles are though really lackluster to ride in game and their "dynamics" feel very slapped on which was bit annoying to motorcyclist like myself. Now the HDD/SSD part. I had game installed on fast Raid0 WD harddrives, but they still seemed to perform insufficiently and texture popping, vehicle spawning and minor stutter was very much noticeable. Note that there is "Slow HDD" option in game options, but I didn't test it, but transferred my install to SSD which resulted in much better experience. One annoying thing was that when looking items, I constantly had to look of and again item to get statistics shown. This really happened all the time. Small glitch but annoying as it's so frequent. Minimap is annoyingly small in driving and leaves fraction of second of time to get in intersections. Some side missions annoyingly don't have map markers at all (no filter or search in map). Good: City and its surroundings are gorgeous and there's definitely that "Bladerunner" feel in many parts which I hoped for. Storyline has been outstanding so far. Performance is overall was much better than I thought for such dated hardware. 9,5/10

fun game, incredible graphics

other users have criticized this game for mostly two reasons: 1) bugs: I started playing after patch 1.3 was released and noticed only a few minor ones (like pedestrians sometimes spawning in my field of view), but most of the bugs seem to have been fixed by now. 2) not as good as witcher 3: well that comparison is not entirely fair, as no other game is as good as witcher 3 (in my opinion); that bar is simply too high. Cyberpunk is an incredibly ambitious game and of course the studio had to make some compromises here and there. I think it is more appropriate to compare this game with the original deus ex, and it is much better! Incredible graphics and a fun experience so far (am in act 2 now and will update my review once I finished it)
