Cyberpunk 2077

This should be a lesson for anyone: Don't buy anything within a year of release. Wait at least a year. You will have a much more enjoyable experience by letting others do the QA for you, and it will be cheaper to buy. With that out of the way, lets get to the Pros and Cons Pros - Beautiful graphics. Wish ShadowRun would look this good. - Sand box play - Decent story and branches - Rated R including sex scenes - Lots to do - Multiple ways to play - Replayable - CD Projekt will not abandon this game Cons - I'm sure there are still bugs, but I haven't hit any major ones yet - Your background story seems to do little to the aside from the intro - Wish there was official VR support. It doesn't have to be full support. I just want to view Cyberpunk from my headset. I can still use a controller or keyboard & mouse.

CDPR, I feel, has successfully through the recent 1.6 patch and optimisation updates. Brought this game out of the rough launch status to an enjoyable immersive game. I highly recommend giving CP a second chance, optimising the graphics via your drivers and DLSS, and diving into the dark world of Night City. I am on my third playthrough in anticipation for the DLC.

The game is literally unplayable now. I'm getting constant crashes whenever entering combat in game

Despite all the negative reviews, the over-hype and the bugs at start: This was from the beginning a very good story game. Not really a good rpg. Not really a good shooter. But with its amazing world, the cyberpunk atmosphere, the most impressing city ever created in a video game and: For the story; That has intense moments but also quite and thougthful moments; This is my favorite game of all.

So, the world is densely rendered and detailed, with a fair amount of NPC's wandering around. It's honestly a pretty world, 3even without the glorified Nvidia planned obsolescence features to force idiots to upgrade every generation to chase the next visual dragon. The main story is decently compelling, if not drawn out with so many unskippable dialogue cutscenes, making any subsequent playthrough a chore I cannot suffer through to see the possibilities of other choices. Shooting is satisfactory, and with the 2.0 update, melee got some interesting changes even though it feels wonky. It's kinda like a far cry game where hacking abilities and stealth gunplay will dominate against the still mediocre AI. Cops work now, and vehicle combat is there. Is there anythign to do to warrant police chases and response....no. the world is dead, only filled with side quest markers, in which they are rather hit and miss-- usually on foot "go here. kill this" affair. No activities, and nothing to sink your teeth or brain into besides shooting and drawn out sex scenes with companion characters. Look, it's a decent enough shooter and main story to go through once if the game is on sale. Just don't think it's an RPG.
