Cyberpunk 2077

Back in 1992 I was with some friends after playing D&D and the GM brought along the Cyberpunk 2020 Rulebook. This was something incredible to 17 year old me. The way that the game was researched and so in depth was something I'd never seem before. Cyberpunk has and always will be a homage to the works of William Gibson among the many other Cyberpunk authors and creators (I heartily recommend reading some before playing!) The Future is Dark because we let it get that way. Our hubris was the torch. Fast forward 30 years and I'm writing this while sat on a Secret Labs CP77 chair with the Collector's Edition Box right beside me. What CDPR have done is ASTOUNDING! Night City is real to me. I can feel it. Bugs aside (they'll get fixed!) this game is everything I wished for as a teenager. Give it some time Chooms. The gliches in the Matrix will heal!

This game rocks. I'm reviewing from the perspective of recreating a good tabletop rpg experience.the game system is going to have some limitations. Your dm is going to railroad you to an extent. That is all fine. The side quests are very detailed and offer great character building/writing/relationships. The side gigs are great (and plentiful) diversions that have more details than I would expect from a game this size. While the main quest is a bit linear, there's so many ways to approach each quest, much like Deus Ex. The game also feels like Vampire the Masquerade:Bloodlines in its design, only on a much more massive scale I've found the best way to approach this is to actually role-playing your character: Who is your V? Mine is a Nomad who's word is his bond; if he says he's going to do something, he does it. He's not a fan of corps, but will work with them if that's the job. If you cross him, you're an enemy for life. The narrative choices seem to really fit this character. On the technical side, this game does share some of VTM:B's flaws in that it lacks some polish, and there are occasional bugs or lack of explanation. CDPR has done a great job patching these so far, and very rarely have I experienced anything that caused me to reload a save. Even with the tech problems, I still think 5 stars is appropriate because this game delivers on a fun rpg experience that plays like Deus Ex meets VTM:b, with a map scale and side quest log the size of the witcher, amd that's pretty fun. I dont really know what everyone else was expecting, but I pretty much ignored all ads, previews, and hype. Playing on i7 7740k, GTX 1080, 32gb ram, side, 1440p high/ultra averaging about 50fps.

Amazing game, history, caracters, jony is just amazing 👏, the city in really has lot to offer and to do. The personalisation is great, sometimes it feels that you need 3 person because you want to see your carácter but isn't big deal because al the first person mechanics work very well

It's really good game

The story and the characters are really very well done, theses are obviously made by people who can write and create believable people. It pains me to say that this game has problems on the technical side. So much infact that it takes away from all other parts of the game. However i do very much think that it is a question of time, this will very likely be one of my favourite games of all time as long as the management dont screw up. CD red is growing as a company, and with that the clueless managers come in, its what always happens and it will destroy this company in the end. I just hope that we will see many good things before that. Id give it 4 out of 5 in its current state, the writing simply got no competition on the market, thats what keeps it this high.
