An epic tale
Told no matter what. I would describe this game as a near-linear epic tale set in a dystopian future where capitalism has gained so much upper hand that nothing else is left. Even entertaining the thought of a democratic system gets you brainwashed by your TV... The game does an amazing job of "show, don't tell" even though it tells you a lot through it's shards... Everything you see in this game is done with a purpose and the design of levels in this game is done so amazingly well to fit in with that. Every mission, every small event, every contact with other people sells you the idea of cyberpunk 2077. Even the music pulls you into the city's setting. Making it feel tangible, real. The entire game is built to make you cynical to a point where you eventually throw up your hands and shout "F&$k it!". Yes, there are bugs. Yes, the game is glitchy sometimes. Yes, there are some small details that don't work here and there. But dangit isn't all that crap forgivable due to the unbelievably beautiful story they are telling you. It's not a "good" story where you are the knight in shining armor. It's not a happy story where you save the beautiful dame/sir. It's not a nice story where everyone lives happily ever after. But gosh-darnit, it's an incredible story, a powerfull story. The powerful acting and animations truly bring the characters in this game to life. I truly felt for some of these characters. It sent chills down my spine and it enraged me, it made me weep and it made me smile. It sure as shit changed my mind on some things... So... I guess... Thanks to whoever made this game. It has been an amazing ride.

You did it CD Projekt Red!
I think I'm very lucky, just finished The Witcher 3 a few weeks ago, just in time to enjoy this 1.5 patch. This game deserves right now a lot more recognition, feels so good to enjoy this futurist city just after going trough the "post-Witcher" depression :-) Breathtaking visuals, awesome story... What are you waiting for? Just a constructive critic, still some small incongruences here and there... I found that going through the non-violent option to first big mission, won't add more details here to avoid add spoilers. But anyway, totally a fan of what you achieved here.

Surprisingly solid!
I got the game after the Edgerunners update was released, so I have no idea what it was like earlier. The game runs smoothly on my pc for the most part, with some lag when jumping in & out of inventory, journal and stuff like that. The story overall is great, though some arcs are lacking slightly (i.e Jackie, Judy), but for the most part it's engaging and you can really connect and emphasize with some of the characters. The world looks alive at first inspection, but lacks a bit of interactivity and the game quite often creates the illusion of choice, but if you only play it though once or twice it shouldn't be much of an issue. Some things they could have improved are the inventory, which is quite cluttered, as is the crafting and updating of gear. And it's a bit sad that you get to create your physical appearence and everything, but you rarely get to see yourself ingame! I got it on sale, and now that I've played it through 1,5 times, I'd say it's definitely been money well spent!

Great game, but poorly optimized
This one didn't disappoint me at all, I expected something at least as good as Deus Ex: Human Revolution (which for me, it's one of the best "cyberpunk genre" games I ever played), and I got something really great. The story is amazing (I'm still conflicted a bit about the endings but came to peace with it), the music is way better than I expected and the world itself is good, not amazing, not poor, just good, I felt the world could use a bit more work. Optimization is very poor still after almost 3 years, though I didn't encounter any game-breaking bugs, nor too many minor bugs either, so they managed to fix it after the launch (which I heard had lots of issues).
