Crusade through dungeons, slay heretics, build your cult, and seek new powers together. But there’s more. As well as the addition of co-op play, the Unholy Alliance expansion also adds new tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, follower traits, follower quests, and other secrets to discover!
Double trouble
Experience the entire Cult of the Lamb campaign in local co-op, with one player inhabiting the role of the Lamb and the other taking on the mantle of the Goat. Enjoy new 2-player twists on existing minigames like fishing and knucklebones, and choose from a selection of corrupted weapons, tarot cards, curses, and relics as you embark on co-op crusades.
Cult of personality
Unholy Alliance adds a huge number of new follower traits, making your flock more diverse, unpredictable, and charismatic than ever. Cultists can be insomniacs, bust law-breaking friends out of prison, enter a catatonic state after the trauma of a resurrection, or become afflicted with a curse: and that’s just a tiny handful of the quirks you’ll encounter as your cult grows.
Power play
Take your crusades to the next level with Unholy Alliance’s godlike selection of new relics and tarot cards—some of which have been designed with co-op in mind. The Lamb and the Goat can swap weapons, deal extra damage when fighting back-to-back, or deal a critical hit if their attacks are in sync. Solo players also get a heap of new powers and abilities to play with.
Cult of the Lamb: Sins of the Flesh
The Lamb must lead, and Followers must follow in Sins of the Flesh, a free content expansion for Cult of the Lamb.
As your followers indulge in worldly pleasures, choose their prideful customizable outfits, and treat them to a gluttony of vacation juice, you might find that life may hatch from an egg. Alongside a new levelling system, new mechanics, new quests, and improved quality-of-life features, the Lamb has uncovered a new combat weapon to blast the heretics of the Old Faith. This power can be yours if you yield to the Sins of the Flesh.
Sins and Disciples
New progression systems add more depth and complexity to managing the Cult of the Lamb. By following the sinful path, your followers will delight in gluttonous rituals, vain buildings, and wrathful doctrines. Invite your most loyal Followers to the inner circle of Disciples, a revamped levelling system of Follower progression.
Better Cult Life
Shiny poop, baneful brooms, and bigger, better buildings improve busy Cult life. Shiny poops have special effects, like yielding fruitful crops and adding XP to your broom. Levelling up your broom will make chores faster and more effective. To improve automation, there’s also a new tier for the Janitor Station and the Storage Structures so your Followers will take better care of themselves.
Ready, Aim, Fire
Blast heretics away with the new Blunderbuss weapon. When loaded, it fires big damage in close quarters to bring a new combat playstyle for your crusades. If you charge it up even more with a heavy attack, you can aim to snipe enemies from long range.
Outfits, Options and Offspring!
Each of your cultists can flaunt their Follower fashion at the new Tailor building. Once unlocked, each cultist can wear their own outfit, with 23 different styles to choose from. But your Cult is getting even more unique. When two Followers love each other very much, they might find an egg. Nurture the egg for it to hatch, then care for the offspring until they're ready to pledge allegiance to your Cult!

Why buy on GOG.COM?
DRM FREE. No activation or online connection required to play.
This is one of those "just one more thing... wait, how is it 2am already?" games.
If you've ever played The Binding of Isaac, Don't Starve, and Enter the Gungeon, I'd say Cult of the Lamb is like a mashup of their best parts. Maybe even some Hollow Knight- or Hyper Light Drifter-ish combat mixed in there. However, CotL takes all of those and really makes its own thing instead. And it is excellent.
It's not as hard as the most difficult parts of those games either, at least on Medium difficulty. I find Medium is a perfect balance between comfortable and just enough challenge to keep me on my toes.
There is a lot more management sim to it than I was expecting. Which isn't bad, it's quite awesome actually. Just not what I initially thought the game would focus on - I thought it was mainly a fighting/dungeon crawling game. There are also many minigames to enjoy, which was another pleasant surprise.
I'm really impressed with the depth of choice. The tech trees are nice and there's several of them, more than I was expecting. You can really run your cult how you want to - be as kind or as harsh as you'd like. Well, within reason... at the end of the day, the cult members are there to serve you, their glorious leader. ;P
I also really love how the game looks and sounds. Banger of a soundtrack. The art style is adorable, which works as a wonderful foil to how conceptually messed-up some of the things in the game are.
Good story and humor, too. Though it sounds like some people are upset by it, but I guess that's a given what with the theme and all...
If you're a fan of dark stories with a some cheek to them, then CotL is very likely up your alley.
Its great, no DRM Issues for me so far.
But there is a vsync related bug after beating the 3rd boss (you need to disable it) or the game will crash
trying to replay a 2 sentance video.
- 2 Stars for this, took me half an hour and hat to replay the dungeon 3 times before fixing this
The complete lack of empathy and signs of favoritism are completely clear, they have lied on their discord saying updates have been released on GOG and nothing of the sort has happened. Then there's one saying possibly later today. Just because I wanted a DRM version that I could install on my smaller laptop without all the bloat doesn't mean I as a customer and used to be fan should be treated as a 2nd rate user of your game.
I bought the game thinking cool updates are being rolled out quickly from reviews else where, and thought I could get behind you all as a company. After this show I can say that no one should buy this game until it goes on sale and they have actually fixed all bugs or else you will be waiting days behind everyone else even other PC buyers.
Also noticed on their webpage there is a contact however in the selection for where you are playing it on they have it as PC(Steam) there is no contact for the company as a GOG customer because we obviously don't matter to them.
I've seen that some folks have reported game breaking bugs, but at least from my side everything perfomed perfectly.
The game has very strong sense of style and charming aesthectic that goes from the visuals and music. Plus having an engaging game loop that ties the town management and combat very nicely, I would have like deeper combat mechanics, but as it is the sum of it's parts makes Cult of the Lamb easy to recommend at the end.
This is soemthing a lot more than I exptected. It's like Isaac + Hades + Don't Starve. Great graphics and awesome sounds plus music. Very trippy. Ingenious story. Kawaii Lamb with cute and detailed mimicry. Sometimes a bit gore and absurd. Is this indie game of the year?
