Crusade through dungeons, slay heretics, build your cult, and seek new powers together. But there’s more. As well as the addition of co-op play, the Unholy Alliance expansion also adds new tarot cards, relics, buildings, fleeces, follower traits, follower quests, and other secrets to discover!
Double trouble
Experience the entire Cult of the Lamb campaign in local co-op, with one player inhabiting the role of the Lamb and the other taking on the mantle of the Goat. Enjoy new 2-player twists on existing minigames like fishing and knucklebones, and choose from a selection of corrupted weapons, tarot cards, curses, and relics as you embark on co-op crusades.
Cult of personality
Unholy Alliance adds a huge number of new follower traits, making your flock more diverse, unpredictable, and charismatic than ever. Cultists can be insomniacs, bust law-breaking friends out of prison, enter a catatonic state after the trauma of a resurrection, or become afflicted with a curse: and that’s just a tiny handful of the quirks you’ll encounter as your cult grows.
Power play
Take your crusades to the next level with Unholy Alliance’s godlike selection of new relics and tarot cards—some of which have been designed with co-op in mind. The Lamb and the Goat can swap weapons, deal extra damage when fighting back-to-back, or deal a critical hit if their attacks are in sync. Solo players also get a heap of new powers and abilities to play with.
Cult of the Lamb: Sins of the Flesh
The Lamb must lead, and Followers must follow in Sins of the Flesh, a free content expansion for Cult of the Lamb.
As your followers indulge in worldly pleasures, choose their prideful customizable outfits, and treat them to a gluttony of vacation juice, you might find that life may hatch from an egg. Alongside a new levelling system, new mechanics, new quests, and improved quality-of-life features, the Lamb has uncovered a new combat weapon to blast the heretics of the Old Faith. This power can be yours if you yield to the Sins of the Flesh.
Sins and Disciples
New progression systems add more depth and complexity to managing the Cult of the Lamb. By following the sinful path, your followers will delight in gluttonous rituals, vain buildings, and wrathful doctrines. Invite your most loyal Followers to the inner circle of Disciples, a revamped levelling system of Follower progression.
Better Cult Life
Shiny poop, baneful brooms, and bigger, better buildings improve busy Cult life. Shiny poops have special effects, like yielding fruitful crops and adding XP to your broom. Levelling up your broom will make chores faster and more effective. To improve automation, there’s also a new tier for the Janitor Station and the Storage Structures so your Followers will take better care of themselves.
Ready, Aim, Fire
Blast heretics away with the new Blunderbuss weapon. When loaded, it fires big damage in close quarters to bring a new combat playstyle for your crusades. If you charge it up even more with a heavy attack, you can aim to snipe enemies from long range.
Outfits, Options and Offspring!
Each of your cultists can flaunt their Follower fashion at the new Tailor building. Once unlocked, each cultist can wear their own outfit, with 23 different styles to choose from. But your Cult is getting even more unique. When two Followers love each other very much, they might find an egg. Nurture the egg for it to hatch, then care for the offspring until they're ready to pledge allegiance to your Cult!

Tier 3 bug is completly game breaking. It has been patch on Steam for several days now, among other bugs. GOG version is still 1.0 though... Requesting refund and buying it on Steam
Having finished Cult of the Lamb, it strikes me that the super cute art style serves a purpose beyond just looking great. It gives the game license to lean harder into the sinister details of operating a cult than might have been palatable to a general audience if the game were more grounded.
You can get married to as many of your followers as you want, poison them all, sacrifice (or outright murder) followers you don't like, engage in cannibalism, drug up your followers and demand money from them while they're too dazed to question you; if you can picture a real cult doing it, you can probably do it in Cult of the Lamb. Thematically this game is very dark.
The story is short and straightforward but I thought it was pretty well written. The game has a good cast of colorful side-characters as well, which helps to liven up the experience. Despite the bleakness, it has charm and a sense of humor that shines through.
Visually the game speaks for itself. It's just as adorable and well done as the store page would lead you to believe. I love the way the game looks, and it's just as cute and expressive in motion.
COTL plays as both a simple management / town builder that's fun but easy, and a top-down roguelite fighter that I struggled with until I'd built my cult up enough to strengthen my character. Both parts of the game are fun and worth your time.
I paid the full $25 and I had a great time, certainly enough enjoyment to justify the price tag. It took me about ten hours to finish on the medium difficulty, and I never felt that it was dragging on. With some good DLC or content updates I'll happily come back and play more.
I have a feeling that this game will be on “Games of the Year” lists. I don’t usually play roguelite games, but I like fun little management games. Cult of the Lamb (COTL) is super addictive and easy to play. There are a few difficulty modes, so everyone can play.
I need to talk about the release: Initially, the release on GOG was a bit disastrous, because it took developers longer than a lot of people wanted (including myself) to bring bug fixing patches on GOG. Those patches were published on Steam, but not on GOG. After many failures and too many hours, as of right now, the game is identical to the Steam “version.” Version 1.0.12 got approved on GOG only a few hours after Steam.
Now that the controversy is covered, I want to repeat how addictive the game is. Some people compare Cult of the Lamb to other games like Binding of Isaac or Don’t Starve, but I never played those games. If you are a newcomer like me, and you liked what you’ve learned about the game so far, CotL might be just for you! :) If you are a big fan of roguelite OR management games, then I suggest you watch livestreams. I’m not sure comparing this game to traditional roguelite or town-building games is fair, because a lot of effort went into music, visual, and the artistic direction as a whole…
Seriously, this game is really beautiful. It feels like a playable Saturday morning cartoon (but it’s NOT for kids).
Performance-wise, I run the game on an Intel i5-6600 with 32 GB of RAM and a GTX 970 graphics card (3.5 GB of VRAM). I use the highest settings, with V-Sync at 60 Hz. I don’t feel like there are disrupting low performances… Some parts of the game have these annoying micro-stutters that comes with SOME Unity games, but I don’t really think about that while playing.
So… Don’t be spooked by some negative reviews. I asked GOG to delete my initial harsh one-star review so I could write this one instead. People were (some might still be) angry, for good reasons, but I’m enjoying now.
As soon as they fix whatever the last update broke i gladly give it 5 stars. Right now however its almost unplayable. Whenever my cultist are active the game has a huge drop in framerate to the point the rather easy food making mini game is next to impossible. Also not better when going on adventures so attacking is not much easier either.
There are some other bugs like bringing back cultists has caused empty graves that cant be used or edited at all but the framerate drops are far more annoying.
If you look for a game that combines animal crossing with a bit of bindings of isaac this is the perfect game for you. Combat is fun (as soon as they fix current issues), collecting certain items will either be very easy or you need a second run but time most of the game will be enough.
The start can be a bit much with all the villagers demand of you but the later you get in the game one is a bit like a break from the other. It makes you want to continue on and on to either advance your own powers or the villages progress. Never been so cute to build a cult. Optics, sound/music as well as the idea itself is worth 5 stars on its own.
The game is ruined by bugs. I had 5 game-breaking bugs in 16 hours. The last one killed my save. I had to manually edit it to recover it. This is unacceptable. That is without considering the countless little bugs I had during these 16h.
"Apart" from that, the game is ok. It's not a good dungeon crawler, nor a good colony-management game. The two together is a sympathetic game. The gameloop is catchy. Lack of QoL. The art is excellent. The musics are excellent.
