Description
Alien life has been discovered... and they’re angry.

A team of scientists experimenting with a small, metallic object brought back from Mars used it to open a gateway linking our world with another deep within the top-secret research lab known as Corridor 7. The thrill of discovery was short lived when hostile alien creatures began pouring out of the gateway and into the facility. Now it’s up to you, a lone Special Forces agent, to enter Corridor 7, eradicate the alien invaders, and close the gateway before the invasion takes hold!

This terrifying sci-fi first-person shooter from Capstone Software has you venturing deep into the dark and twisting test chambers of Corridor 7 to combat a hostile takeover of Earth. Hideous monsters from another world have scattered throughout the facility. Good thing you’re fully loaded and prepared to take them on. It’s time to give these alien beasts a killer welcome party they won’t soon forget!
  • Leave no survivors as you blast through the complete selection of 46 levels from the CD-ROM version of this classic shooter.
  • Eradicate the marauding alien invaders with an arsenal of nine devastating weapons.
  • Use your infrared visor to spot traps, or track your enemy in the dark with night vision.
  • Can’t get enough? Take on the Presidential Level, which is different each time you play!
  • Crank up the volume and get lost in the atmospheric soundtrack.

Decent Capstone game

Though its technologically inferior to OBC even and terribly outdated when it was released, i still find it one of Capstones better games along with Witchaven. That is, the few only good games they made. Plays fluid enough, its basically just a creepier version of Wolfenstein 3D. I dont have it in my heart to bash it too much, it along with Doom, Rott and Warcraft being one of those games i grew up with. Don't expect more than Wolf3D gun running and you'll be fine. It's far from perfect but hardly the worst game ever made, but severely outdated, it couldve been so much better with a different game engine and more features. While hardly being expensive, but pick it up on sale if you want to save some cash.

Awesome classic game

I have a lot of nostalgia for this game, I first saw it when I was about three years of age. It is basically uses the Wolf3D engine but has its own theme and improved graphics.

Probably the worst game I've ever played

Yes, I got this game because a popular YouTuber did a video on it, saying it was terrible. Yes, I regret my decision in foregoing their warning and buying this game. Yes, I will urge you to never make the same mistake as me. As for actually reviewing this: I can confidently say that this game is genuinely one of the worst games I've ever sat down to play. I marathon'd this in one go. All 30 levels (I refuse to do the extra 12 from the CD version). The only enjoyable part was picking and tearing it apart during the first hour or so of gameplay. Making fun of all of this game's shortcomings becomes tiring after a while because you'll realize you're suffering with it. The first half isn't even that bad when you look at the final half of levels. They're dark, full of monsters, and no ammo caches. The ONLY way to get ammo is to either find it from an enemy drop or reach the next floor. And you're stuck with the Alien weapons, which eat through your ammo quickly. You'll be left for half the floor with your taser pisol, praying to RNGesus that you get an Ammo drop. If, for whatever reason, you decide to ignore the warnings and buy this game: PLAY ON CAPTAIN DIFFICULTY. You won't have to kill most/all the enemies in a stage. Anything beyond the easiest skill is a death wish to your sanity. If anything, this game can be seen as a time capsule of awfullness. Proof that not all retro shooters were good, despite everything that came out around it in 1994.

"Better than Body Count" doesn't cut it

Everything Capstone made was shit. Everything. Some were worse than others, but once you pass a certain threshold of terrible (they were), any differences become purely academic. To argue that this is better than bottom of the barrel stuff like Operation Body Count is like saying a solid shit is better than a diarrhea shit. Does the difference even matter if you're a food critic? I played this at release and was floored even at the time that someone would even bother releasing a (bad) Wolfenstein 3D clone one full year after Doom. It was laughably outdated even at the time. The level and enemy designs are worse than W3D. There's no value to be had here unless you're some kind of time traveler trainwreck enthusiast and are really really desperate to historically document just how bad some games of the era were. But even in that case, just go watch the Civvie11 youtube video.

Not good but still playable

If you're a die-hard fan of 90s shooters then you should play Corridor 7. It's not a good game by any stretch of the imagination but it's competent enough that it's enjoyable at times. It's not like Operation Bodycount which I would call basically unplayable but unless you're a real fan of retro shooters or have some nostalgia attached I wouldn't bother
