Description


While some members of Kisaragi Academy's class 2-9 returned from their trip to the hellish, otherworldly elementary school known as Heavenly Host, many did not, and the survivors struggle on a daily basis to preserve the memories of those who were unfortunate enough to perish within its halls.

There is one ray of hope, however: an ancient tome known as the Book of Shadows. Class president Ayumi Shinozaki attempted to make use of its magic to resurrect her deceased friends once before, but only compounded the tragedy in the process. And now the book has been lost.

Or has it? When a spiritual photograph turns up, suggesting the Book of Shadows may now reside in the tattered remains of Heavenly Host, Ayumi becomes obsessed with finding it so she can make one last attempt to set things right.

What follows is nothing short of a nightmare.

From a vet of all three

Feel I should chime in with an informed opinion. Blood Drive is a mixed bag. It has its moments, but by and large, it raises more questions than it answers, and doesn't do much in the way of providing a resolution. Sure, the story gets resolved... but it doesn't provide anything satisfactory, and the ending stinger is way more of a sequel bait hook than a satisfying ending. It's worth a play, especially if you want more backstory on this crazy universe, but the casual fans are going to be lost. Sadly, Blood Drive doesn't even come close to living up to the stinger in Book of Shadows, which was genuinely enticing.

Weak and broken.. don't bother.

This is a sad end to what could have been an amazing chapter of horror games. The original title, while sometimes simple, was also simply a classic and something anyone into horror games should play. The first continuation was something interesting, but really unable to stand on it's own two feet so it really should only be played by those who finished the first and want more. But this? This stumbled along telling a descent (and would be great if not for the crime of ret-conning the original) story until it tripped at the end falling to it's doom in the abyss of it's own creation. Don't bother playing this one. Just watch it on youtube.
