Mediocrity
I don't like the way Remedy has chosen. I'd prefer they to do games like Alan Wake or Max Payne, but not like Control. It seems interesting and intriguing in the beginning, but later I was disappointed. Otherwise, the game has it's own strong sides. Gameplay is routine a bit, but it's fun to destroy all the things around yoiu with supernatural powers. But without them Control would be a boring action. So, it's OK, but not for me.

Mediocre and with game breaking bugs
Early parts of the game are kind of mediocre. Some decent atmosphere inside the building and all, especially because of the sounds, but the gameplay just feels... uninteresting. The telekinetic powers early on are reminiscent of The Force Unleashed, except very basic and not nearly as interesting, and the starting weapon is not very fun to use. Maybe it gets better later on but after about 4 hours of playing I hit what seems like a gamebreaking bug where a necessary mission cutscene in the janitor's office won't trigger no matter what I try so I can't progress. Not going to replay the uninteresting early game for what might be a slightly more interesting later section, so that's all I can base my review on.
