Contra is back
Beyond a simple remake, it's a kind of synthesis of the best moments of the series (primarily the first and third installments), while also offering some new elements, such as camera angles during boss fights and a frenetic pace that does justice to the saga. thank you Gog and konami

Perfect If the music was good
Operation Galuga would be a perfect remake of the first Contra game, adding elements from all it's eventual sequels plus some other great mechanics, a revamped story and actually great modern graphics. However the game fumbles it's presentation in the music, using generic orchestra that turns classic tunes into forgettable ones. Fortunately you can unlock both an 8-Bit soundtrack and the one from Contra 4, though the latter takes some grinding. Still a big recommendation for Contra fans.
