Conquests of the Longbow: The Legend of Robin Hood

Conquests of Longbow is a rich, detailed, character-driven story with thoughtful puzzles and many paths for the player to consider. The graphics are detailed and the music and sound effects really enhance the gameplay. Highly recommended!

A brilliant classic from the golden age of adventure gaming, this is a rich game with a well written story - one of Sierra's best point and click titles. You take the role of Robin Hood, legendary outlaw of Sherwood Forest, but with some twists that add depth and richness to the familiar tale. Take on the role of Robin as you avoid the Sheriff's men, wear disguises, woo the Lady Marian, and ultimately work to save King Richard the Lionheart. Has something for everyone - it's a standout title from the heyday of Sierra VGA SCI titles. One of my favourites, if not my actual favourite, outside the Quest for Glory series. Strongly recommended. Still yet to achieve a perfect score, but getting closer...

I found out about this game from a video by OneShortEye. I started doing more research and eventually decided to buy the game. It DID NOT disappoint. CotL is very possibly my favorite game of all time.

Sierra adventure games were the games I grew up on, full of adventure, colourful characters and great stories. They made so many great games, but this one would definitely be in the top 5 and is an exemplar of what mnade Sierra games great.
