Commandos 2 & Praetorians: HD Remaster Double Pack

Not to mention any censorship, about which every other one-star review is - this remake is plain bad. Try to compare UI and grahpics of the original to this one - 3D animated faces of the commandos are cartoonish and grotesque. Originally they had that unique look and feel, that made you feel like you're controlling seasoned combat veterans, and not a gang of a latest Disney show goofs. Same goes for the icons and GUI in the general. You could say that the matter is subjective, but just look at the screenshots in this store listing and the one for the original and compare them. Somehow UI made years ago was more detailes than what the new devs were able to come up with in a modern, HD era of game visuals. To sum it up in one sentence - the title promises HD remake, but what you get is a dumbed down redraw of the original. As others before me said, do yourself a favor, buy the original, install the HD mod and experience the full potential of this otherwise marvellous game.

As others have said, the censorship of history is wrong and you're only doomed to repeat history if you don't learn from it.

this game is officialy trash after this "remaster" I loved the game. I am going back to the good old version.

please take into account that the game can only be published legally in Germany if those measures are taken. I am happy to be able to play a childhood favourite of mine again that way and as much as I would like an international version, it's good they did not forget about fans in Germany.

But not for the same reasons as the obvious rightwing neo-Nazi scum who are review bombing the game. It has nothing to do with so called "SJWs". It was a production design desicion that the developers of the remaster had every right to make. The neo-Nazi filth crying in the these reviews are also deliberately clearly ignoring the fact Praetorians has no censorship. I don't mind see Nazi symbols in games as it simply makes them more real, but I won't be part of the rightwing movement to glorify the horrors of the NAZIs of WWII.
