Description
The plot of Clash II is set in a dark world in which battles have been fought for years between invaders bearing the signs of The One, calling themselves the Pure Ones, and the people who have inhabited the continent's magical lands for generations - the Old Ones. The growing conflict takes us once again to the center of the battles between the two factions. The story takes place decades after the events of the first part, with the Pure Ones remaining the dominant force as they conquer more regions of the continent.
Lead your team in classic turn-based battles against enemy armies and monsters inhabiting the ancient continent. Take advantage of the simultaneous movement of your troops and make use of their unique abilities.
Take strategic positions before you decide to engage in battle.
Manage your army and maintain a turn advantage to thwart the enemy's plans.
Take advantage of the terrain and the special skills of your commanders.
Take over enemy strongholds and defend your fortress during sieges.
Build up your headquarters and manage the economy of your kingdom. Construct buildings to recruit powerful units. Develop technologies, upgrade your army and unlock unique hero skills that will give them new abilities on the battlefield!
Explore ancient ruins, acquire powerful artifacts and face the magical creatures that guard them. Guide the stories of the characters in the story-driven campaign and complete side quests. Learn about the history of the conflict and the lands competed for by the factions embroiled in it. Find treasures and acquire strategic objects.
Lairs and nests will allow you to discover unique units.
Shrines will strengthen your hero and your army.
Mines will supply your treasury with additional gold.
Clash 2 features stylized visuals that immerse you in a fantastic world torn apart by bloody conflict. The unexplored continent is full of dangers and hides a mysterious story. The atmosphere is enhanced by moody music, which take immersion to the next level.
Clash II is an enjoyable turn based tactical combat game with some nice strategic base building and resource management wrapped up in an absorbing and distinctive campaign with a strong Celtic feel.
It does a good job of feeling familiar yet also striking off in its own original direction.
The music is also excellent.
If you like games like Heroes of Might and Magic Campaign Series, Wesnoth, or Braveland, I would recommend giving Clash II a try.
