Cayne

Pretty interesting idea, terrible puzzles( I love puzzle games like re and silent hill) but come on some are ridiculous nonsense but it was fairly good otherwise. The ending was very abrupt with very little to explain how she got to there so far from where she started. I hated the interface where you cannot use your inventory on the objects of interest it takes some 3 or so interactions to complete a task that you could have just done there in one go if you had access. Atmosphere was great. Characters where memorable but very odd. i give it 3 stars I'd recommend it to be played but only once very short and no replay ability whatsoever. If this is their first attempt I will be looking forward to more games from the company to watch them evolve I think they are capable of great things one day even this mediocre game have an inner greatness dying to get out (lol)

Hooked from begining til the end.

Played this on Ubuntu Mate 18.04. Point and click games are not usually my cup of tea but I tried the demo and picked up the full game because the story line and setting had me hooked. The game is short but does have two endings. I highly recommend this game to anyone interesting in sci-fi horror.

Why is the main game free?

It shouldn’t. Great care was given into the game, that makes it strange for the main game to be given for free, whereas the extras are to be sold. Some may argue about the short duration of it, but in my opinion Cayne should be as many other games on the site, i.e. to be normally for sale with its extras in one entry, even in a lower price, but not totally free. So I bought the Deluxe Content as well. Anyhow, I played this first, before Stasis, as it is a prequel. Very interesting story about a woman going to have an abortion, but then things develop very differently. Not complex riddles (with 1 or 2 exceptions). I write it as a good thing. Apart from placing items where you have to, you will also need to combine items in your inventory. There are some texts for you to read to get useful information, in the form of PDA journals, which are well written and they don’t drag long. Also, there are very few occasions (I don’t write how many), when death is possible, so save often. Amazing main voice actress (Sarah Anne Williams) and the overall sounds are also very good. Only (small) negative: no button to show hotspots, but there aren’t that many interactable items on each screen, so no pixel-hunting.

Deluxe price for cheap content

Wait... So for 7€ you don't actually get any new gameplay content? No better graphics? No patch? Only a few not even in-game goodies, seriously?!? That's a curious way of redefining "deluxe"... Yeah I think I'll pass, thanks.
