Fun Little Game
Sweet little old school type game. I have found myself looking up from playing and realizing I have lost a few hours to the game!

lack of save really kills it
Might not be the best of games like this but it has a lot to offer. It feels more friendly to casual players because even if you are bad like me and can't win, there's still a lot of items and relics and whatnot to mess with, so it feels like I actually played the game even if I lose after a few levels, other similar games I struggle to enjoy unless I really dedicate a lot of time to slowly improving. The lack of save is strange for a game where runs supposedly take between 1 to 1.5 hours. I'll call it 'suspend' instead of save to avoid confusion with weird people who say "it's permadeath, of course you can't save". There are relatively very few roguelikes with runs more than 30 minutes, where you can't suspend the game and come back later. The game seemed perfect on my handheld pc but the game won't switch audio source like all my other games do, so docking it to swap to a bigger screen doesn't work well unless I want to pull out an extra cable so I don't bother. On switch, it seemed to be fine because it's so easy to suspend the whole device, but let's say I decide this game is perfect for my work lunch breaks, play for 30 minutes, and want to play something else when I get home, but my device is locked into this game or quit the run, so eventually I just stop playing it. I could go on but basically I just feel locked in and there's a lot of random little annoyances and things that prevent me from just wanting to play or being able to enjoy the game, and almost all of these annoyances would be solved by a save system. Not trivial to implement, but it's just a really standard feature that completely kills the game for me by not having it.

Cavebrazers...
I don't think there is a lot of us who still play it and a lot more of people I think would enjoy this game even if its a bit small and sometimes feels unfair its still fun. I hope people will keep on finding this title and find fun in the deepths of this dungeon.
