Cat Quest II

Played this with a friend and we had a lot of fun. The combat is fast (if you've every played the Ys games, it reminds me of the combat feel in that), the story is silly, wholesome fun, and the visuals match the mood. There are difficulty spikes from time to time, but we still beat it (normal mode) and enjoyed our time with it. Looking forward to Cat Quest III

More Cat Quest 1, now with Co-Op and a lot of other new stuff. Fun semi-casual ARPG with overwhelming cuteness and puns.

Cat Quest 2 is a simple hack and slash adventure. You will spend hours rolling from place to place collecting items and defeating enemies. There's a story here but i ended up ignorimg most of it due to how many puns are in the dialog. I had a lot of fun speedingthru the missions but i feel that it would have been more fun playing this in co-op.

As easy as its first part, which makes it casual to the point of being able to play it as you watch something on the tv, but also as wholesome and cute. And now with dogs. Still very fun.

Nobody over 12 should be too thrilled with this game. It's solid and responsive, but it's shallow. Straightforward. It's not one of those "Amazing for kids, also amazing for adults" games, a la Rayman Origins or Psychonauts 2. There's no rule that a simple game can't be great - But there's something about Cat Quest's design that feels purrrfunctor (hurr). There doesn't seem to be much love below the surface, and it's quickly obvious. What's there is polished. and it's pretty fun in the short-term, but there's a vast potential for content that nobody bothered to realize. Get it for your kids. It'll keep them busy.
